Kathy M. Baker nee Rardin, age 61 of Lombard, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 2 – 9 P.M. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Lying in state Wednesday, June 2, 2010, from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service, 11 A.M., at First United Methodist Church of Lombard, Main at Maple Sts., Lombard.
Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, John L. “Jack”; five daughters, Amy (Michael) Johnson of Lombard, Stacy (Steve) Perkins of Herscher, IL, Abigail (Jake) Epprecht of NY, Jessica (Nate) Ewald of Oakbrook Terrace and Claire Baker of Lombard; her son, Jon (Erin) of FL; her ten grandchildren, (plus 1 on the way), Melanie, Christian, and Nichole Johnson, Rebecca, Megan, and Jamie Perkins, Zachary and Wyatt Epprecht, Gage Baker and Cameron Baker; her parents, Richard and Shirley nee Kajer; her sister, Karen (Michael) Legler of Hanover Park; two brothers, Richard (Sheryl) of TX and Larry (Lauren) Rardin of Colorado; her mother in law, Phyllis Baker of Warrenville and her brother in law, Ken Baker of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in law, Elmer Baker.
Mrs. Baker had been married for 42 years. She was a graduate of Glenbard East High School in 1966. She had attended Westley Memorial Nursing School in Chicago. She was a certified lactation consultant and had worked for over 30 years with the LaLeche League as a leader. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Lombard, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Board of the Credit Union, and volunteered with PADS.
