Kathy M. Baker nee Rardin, age 61 of Lombard, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 2 – 9 P.M. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Lying in state Wednesday, June 2, 2010, from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service, 11 A.M., at First United Methodist Church of Lombard, Main at Maple Sts., Lombard.
Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, John L. “Jack”; five daughters, Amy (Michael) Johnson of Lombard, Stacy (Steve) Perkins of Herscher, IL, Abigail (Jake) Epprecht of NY, Jessica (Nate) Ewald of Oakbrook Terrace and Claire Baker of Lombard; her son, Jon (Erin) of FL; her ten grandchildren, (plus 1 on the way), Melanie, Christian, and Nichole Johnson, Rebecca, Megan, and Jamie Perkins, Zachary and Wyatt Epprecht, Gage Baker and Cameron Baker; her parents, Richard and Shirley nee Kajer; her sister, Karen (Michael) Legler of Hanover Park; two brothers, Richard (Sheryl) of TX and Larry (Lauren) Rardin of Colorado; her mother in law, Phyllis Baker of Warrenville and her brother in law, Ken Baker of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father in law, Elmer Baker.

Mrs. Baker had been married for 42 years. She was a graduate of Glenbard East High School in 1966. She had attended Westley Memorial Nursing School in Chicago. She was a certified lactation consultant and had worked for over 30 years with the LaLeche League as a leader. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Lombard, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Board of the Credit Union, and volunteered with PADS.

Funeral arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Marie N. Welch nee Pollack, age 65, of South Holland, IL, passed away on May 15, 2010 after a 12-year courageous battle with lung cancer. She is preceded by parents Albert and Viola Pollack and brother Frank “Sonny” of East Chicago, IN. She formerly was a resident of the Marktown section of East Chicago, IN and Glenwood, IL. She has been an employee of Friedman and Huey Associate of Homewood, IL since 1989. She graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, IN. in 1963. She later received her Associates of Applied Science in Business from Prairie State College. She is survived by her two children, Lauren (Jeremy) Steiber of Crown Point, IN and son James Welch of Griffith, IN and 5 grandchildren, Nicholas, Kylie, Hannah, Emily and Lyla. She is also survived by sister Patricia (Rob) Lushbaugh of Charleston, West Virginia and brother Daniel (Nancy) Pollack of Lombard, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation Friday May 21, 2-9pm at the Ryan Funeral Home 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood, IL. The Funeral service will begin with 10:30am prayers at the Funeral Home then to St. Joseph Church for Mass at 11am, Rev. Richard Kozak, officiating, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood, IL In Lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. John F. Egan, age 71, of Huntley, formerly of Lombard, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at his home.

Visitation Thursday 3 – 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral service Friday 10:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard to Sacred Heart Church for 11 AM Mass.
Interment Queen of Heaven.

Mr. Egan is survived by his wife, Patricia nee Brosnan; his son, Daniel J. of MA; his brothers, William of Round Lake, and Thomas Patrick (Patricia) of Lombard; his sister, Marjorie (Marvin) Fleege of Lombard; a brother in law, William Newkirk of Naperville: and many nieces and nephews.\

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Anne Egan and two sisters, Annette (the late John) Weatherwax and Mary Newkirk.

Mr. Egan had been a resident of Lombard for 30 years before moving to Huntley in 2004. He was a retired 50 year member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #134. He was also a Veteran of the US Army.

Memorials to the Monarch Foundation or the American Lung Association appreciated.

MOLLIE C. SANTERALLI, nee Manzo, age 84, of Villa Park, died May 16 at her home.

Mrs. Santeralli is survived by her husband, Ernest; four children, Richard (Rosemary) of Wood Dale, Patricia Schwabek of Naperville, Claire (Joseph) Gregoire of Chicago, and Ernest C. “Ernie” (Janet) of Lombard; seven (7) Grandchildren, Dina (Michael) Booth of Elmhurst, Nicolette (Anthony) Di Giorgio of Glen Ellyn, Alicia Santeralli of Lombard, Derek Schwabek of Naperville, Melissa Santeralli of Lombard, Kevin Schwabek of Naperville, and Ernie J. Santeralli of Lombard; five (5) Great-Grandchildren, Ryan, Vitarose, Aubrey, Sofia, and Jillian; her brother-in-law, Louis (Ruth) Santarelli of Florida; her sister-in-law, Claire (John) Iovinelli of Schaumburg; and many other relatives.

Mrs. Santeralli is preceded in death by her brother Charles (Jean) Restaino; and her sister, Jennie Pesola.

Mrs. Santeralli was a resident of Villa Park for 53 years. She would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on May 20th. Mrs. Santeralli grew up in Chicago.

RICHARD J. WHITCOMB, age 59, of Villa Park, died May 16 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., May 18 at Harvard Avenue Ev. Free Church, 206 West St. Charles Road, Villa Park.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 19 at 10:30 AM at Harvard Avenue Ev. Free Church, Villa Park.
Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.

Mr. Whitcomb is survived by his wife, Ellen, nee Amundson; his step-son, Tim (Amy) Van Tassel of Schaumburg; two brothers, John (Sally) of Bloomington, and Joe (Gerri) of Bloomington; eight (8) nieces and nephews; five (5) great-nieces and nephews; three brother-in-laws, Elven Amundson of Kirkwood, Missouri, Everett (Kathleen) Amundson of Glendale, California, and Kenneth (Valerie) Amundson of Wheaton, Illinois; and many friends

Mr. Whitcomb is preceded in death by his parents Frances and Wilbur Whitcomb of Minonk, Illinois.

Mr. Whitcomb was a resident of Villa Park for 16 years and was formerly of Chicago. He was a 1969 graduate of Minonk Dana Rutland High School. Mr. Whitcomb was a 1979graduate of the University of Illinois. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Whitcomb worked with the homeless at Harvard Avenue Ev Free Church. He was active with the Food Pantry at both Harvard Ave. Free Church and St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Lombard. He had served on the Board of Deacons at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Mr. Whitcomb was a former Chairman of the Board of Evangelism of St. John’s and was a member of the Board of Evangelism.. He was formerly active with Stephen Ministry. Mr. Whitcomb had been a former volunteer of the Battered Women’s Shelter in Florida. He had been a Volunteer for Big Brother and Big Sisters. He was an English Tutor at College of Dupage. Mr. Whitcomb had been a Draftsman for Civil Engineering, Inc. in Naperville and C.E.S. Inc. in Belvidere, Illinois. Mr. Whitcomb felt “I had a good run.” “I had a real good run.”

Memorials to Harvard Avenue Ev. Free Church Food Pantry, 206 West St. Charles Road, Villa Park, Illinois would be appreciated.

Mrs. Lytle is survived by five children, Nancy (Marty) Kerr of Lombard, James (Rita) of Wisconsin, Thomas of Lombard, Mary Ann of Lombard, and Michael (Janelle) of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, James (Tahyna) of Kentucky, Joseph (Kim) of Illinois, and Danielle of Wisconsin; four great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Dylan, Mason, and Adryanna; and her good friend and neighbor, Donna.

Mrs. Lytle is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; and five brothers and sisters, Matthew, Walter, Leonard, Robert, and Rosemary.

Mrs. Lytle was a resident of Lombard for 30 years.
