ANGELINA EVANS, nee Schilaci, age 92, of California, passed away June 19 in Fremont, California.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 26 with Visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 South Princeton, Villa Park.
Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her daughter, Christine (Thomas) O’Day; four grandchildren, Timothy (Ann), Sean, Tricia, and June (Ralph) of Villa Park; five great-grandchildren, Declan, Zoe, Chloe, Tess, and Ralphie; her sister, Mary Maita; and her brother, Frank.
Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her daughter, Patricia Ann; and her son, Roy W.

Mrs. Evans was a resident of California for 45 to 50 years.

Miriam Yarrow nee Erickson, age 75, of Florida formerly Lombard, died in Deerfied Beach, FL.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 21 from 3 to 8PM at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park, IL.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 22 at 10 A.M. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard, IL 60148.
Interment will be Tuesday, June 22 at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Mrs. Yarrow is survived by four daughters, Debbie (Jim) Kemper of FL., Ruth (Greg) Pirrie of FL., Melody of FL and Luann (Kenny) Doman of FL., 3 grandchildren, Melissa Pirrie, Jenna Pirrie and Savannah Kemper; two sisters, Gracia Wright and Ardeth (William) Johnson; a brother, Chuck (Jean) Erickson; and two sister-in-laws, Carol Ann Erickson and Sandy Erickson.

Mrs. Yarrow is preceded in death by her husband, Roy S., two brothers, Glen Erickson and James Erickson and a son-in-law, Sheldon Wright.

Mrs. Yarrow was married for 45 years. She was a long-time member of Harvard Ave. Evangelical Free Church where she served as The Missions Chairman, Deaconess and AWANA Director. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother of 4 as well as the the neighborhood kids. She previously worked for Scripture Press in Wheaton.

LOIS D. MARTIN, nee Deicke, age 78, of Johnson City, Tennessee,

LOIS D. MARTIN, nee Deicke, age 78, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on June 13th at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Lombard Illinois, she resided at Broadmore Assisted Living Residence in Johnson City, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Martin, and her parents, Edwin and Alma Deicke, nee Schramm.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Rolen and a son-in-law, Dr. Richard Rolen, Johnson City, TN and a son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Mary Martin and granddaughters Alayasha and Sophia Martin, Elizabethton. TN; and many cousins in Illinois.

Mrs. Martin received a BA degree from The University of Michigan and an MA from Stanford University in California. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and Pi Delta Kappa teaching fraternity. She lived overseas for most of her life, first as a member of the Experiment in International Living, then as an exchange student in Germany, and later she accompanied her husband to Colombia and Libya, where he was employed as a micro paleontologist and petroleum geologist for Chevron Oil Company. A love of people and an interest in different cultures led Mrs. Martin and her family to travel extensively in Africa and Europe while living in Libya for 14 years.

A teacher by profession, Mrs. Martin taught in California, Libya, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. After retiring from her position as a German and Spanish teacher with the US Department of Defense in Naples, Italy, she bought a centuries old Italian farmhouse on the Tuscan-Umbrian border in Italy. She turned it into a B&B where she enjoyed showing her guests the local sights and where many of her visitors became good friends.

Mrs. Martin grew up in Lombard and was descended from some of the oldest families in DuPage County. Her parents, grandparent, and great grandparents all resided in DuPage County. Her father was a well-known civic leader, businessman in Lombard and Wheaton, and former Village President of Lombard. She graduated from St. John’s Ev. Lutheran School and Glenbard High School. Mrs. Martin remained close to her grade school friends her entire life.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on June 27, at The Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City TN, with the Reverend Bedford Transou officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Johnson City Medical Center and Broadmore Assisted Living for their outstanding care and contagious smiles.

Willliam N. P. Yee, age 73, of Lombard

Willliam N. P. Yee, age 73, of Lombard, died June 16 at Lexington Healthcare Center, Lombard.
Visitation was held Friday, June 18, from 4 to 9 PM. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. at Brust Funeral Home.
Interment was at Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.

Mr. Yee is survived by his wife, Mai, nee Chan, two daughters, Grace (Charles) Swedberg and Jennifer (Thomas) Mahoney, two sons, Christopher (Katy) Yee and Timothy (Kathryn) Yee; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Paul, Maiya, Maya, Zander and Zachary; and two sisters, Nancy Wong and Winnie (Art) Kubey.

Mr. Yee is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Harry Wong.

Mr. Yee was married almost 50 years. He loved fishing. He was a Commercial Interior Designer for over 30 years. He was a great provider for his family and loved to be with his grandchildren. He enjoyed sports and played poker. He also enjoyed building things and travelling, including camping.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Saturday with Visitation from 12:00 Noon to time of Service at 2:00 p.m.
Interment Private.

Mrs. Howes is survived by her son, William E., Jr. of Lombard; her daughter, Bonny (Aaron) Glidewell of Lombard; seven (7) grandchildren, Ethan Hutchinson, Stephanie, Gina, and William J. Howes, Donald, Christopher, and Sharon Ricciardi; and her great-granddaughter, Marissa.

Mrs. Howes had been a resident of Florida for 18 years, and was a resident of Villa Park from 1959 to 1975.

Mrs. Scholz is survived by her husband, Edward R.; three sons, William (Lori) of Morton Grove, Robert (Mary) of Lombard, and Daniel (Dannielle) of Fountain Valley, California; six (6) grandchildren, Sean, Sarah, David, Daniel, Colleen, and Kayla; two sisters, Ordie Boss and Catherine (Jay) Bright; two brothers, John (Patricia) Gokey, and Rolland Gokey; many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scholz is preceded in death by her son, David; and five (5) brothers and sisters.

JEANETTE A. MADDEN, nee Rybarski, age 95, longtime resident of Lombard, died June 3 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Glen Ellyn, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 10 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Street Chapel, Main and Maple, Lombard.

Mrs. Madden is survived by her cousin, Sandra Robbins of Wauconda; her dear friends, Wesley and Alice Kidd of Glen Ellyn, Camille and Ray Mungovan of Lombard, and Jean Law of Lombard; 3 nephews; and 1 niece.

Mrs. Madden is preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, Henry and Harriet Rybarski; and two brother-in-laws, Gordan and Rev. Willard K. Madden.

Mrs. Madden was the only daughter born to Henry and Harriet Rybarski. She was a graduate of Schurz High School in Chicago and had attended DePaul University in Chicago. Mrs. Madden had celebrated 58 years of marriage. She was a resident of Lombard since 1943; first on Crystal Avenue and then at 33 North Main Street. Mrs. Madden was a homemaker. She was very active in Lombard. She was the longest member and President of the Lombard Garden Club several times and had maintained the gardens at the Maple Street Chapel for many years. Mrs. Madden is a current member and Past President of the Lombard Woman’s Club. She was a former member of the Lombard Stamp Club, the Lombard Book Club, and a former member of the Polish American Club in Chicago. She had formerly worked at Sear’s.

JEANETTE MARIE MASDEN, nee Strasser, age 99, of Elmhurst, formerly of Lombard and Chicago, died June 10 at Lexington Health Care, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 12 from 2 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 14 with Mrs. Masden Lying-In-State from 10 AM until Service at 11 AM at St. John’s Ev Lutheran Church, 215 South Lincoln, Lombard.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.

Mrs. Masden is survived by her son, James Albert, Sr. of Flossmoor; her daughter, Patricia J. Knueppel of Villa Park; five grandchildren, James A., Jr. (Debra) of Washington, Karen (Charles) Giannetti of Michigan, Lynne (Daniel) Kelliher of Downers Grove, Lisa (Nathan) Jolliff of Aurora, and Pamela (Craig) Hartsock of Washington; nine (9) great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Mrs. Masden is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; and her son-in-law, Howard Knueppel.

Mrs. Masden lived in Chicago for 86 years and was of Lombard, Elmhurst, and Oak Brook the last 13 years. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Chicago and was currently a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard. She had retired as a Supervisor from Lowry Organ Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Masden loved to dance.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Sherry L. nee Bower; five sons, Michael (Paula) of Lockport, Thomas of Lombard, John of Lombard, James (Sheila) of Plano and Paul, Jr. (Linda) of Elmhurst: two daughters, Martha “Marty” (David) Schillerstrom of Naperville and Susan “Susie” (John) Krebs of Lombard; sixteen grandchildren, Michael, Jr. (Laura) of Lisle, Erin Morris of Lockport, Kevin Schillerstrom of Naperville, Erik Schillerstrom of Oswego, Sherry Krebs of Lombard, Corinne Schillerstrom of Naperville, Kelly Krebs of Lombard, Judy Morris of Elmhurst, Stacy Krebs of Lombard, K C Morris of Elmhurst, Lily Morris of Plano, Emily Morris of Elmhurst, Jack Morris of Plano, Trey Morris of Elmhurst, Claire Morris of Plano and Carly Morris of Plano; two great grandchildren, Michael Morris III of Lisle and Megan Morris of Lisle: two sisters, Margaret (Daniel) Andrews of Quincy and Rosemary (Tom) Gott of Quincy; sister in law, Dorothy Morris of Quincy: two brothers, Robert (Charlene) of Quincy and James (Susan) of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Earl.
Mr. Morris was retired after 32 years as a teacher, baseball and football coach at Glenbard East High School. He was a teacher for over 43 years having also taught at Coleman High School, Coleman, WI,, Virginia High School , Virginia , IL and St Bede Academy, LaSalle, IL. He grew up in Quincy, IL and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Quincy. He graduated from Quincy College and received his Masters Degree in Education at University of Illinois. He was a member of the Illinois Drivers Teachers Association, TRS, IEA and NEA. He was was selected by Glenbard High School to the Academic Heritage Hall of Fame.

He was a veteran of the US Army. During World War II, he served in the 3rd Army with General Patton in France, Germany, and Belgium. He was a former member of the VFW.

Mr. Morris had been a resident of Lombard since 1961. He was an active member at Sacred Heart Church and was a First Degree member of Knights of Columbus, Father Boecker Council 6090.
