LOUISE KATHRYN ZUEGEL, (nee Albright), age 97, of Lombard, died July 30, 2010, at Lexington Square in Lombard. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday August 2,2010 at 11:30 A.M. at Lexington Square, 555 Foxworth Blvd., Lombard, in the “All Purpose Room”. A private graveside service will take place on Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Zuegel is survived by a niece Leslie (David) Striker, and three nephews, Timothy (Donna), Michael (Nancy) and Dr. Jack (Barbara) Livermore and many great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Zuegel was preceded in death by her husband Adolph; her parents William and Myrtle Albright; her brothers, Forbes, Louis and William Albright; her sister-in-law, Gertrude Livermore, and her nephew, Robert Livermore.

Mrs. Zuegel was born on February 10, 1913 to William and Myrtle Albright (nee Volmuth) in New Jersey. She grew up in Chicago and attended Rosary College. She worked at her parent’s restaurant, Albright’s, in Forest Park 35 years. She married Adolph Zuegel in 1935. After Albright’s Restaurant closed in the 1960’s, she volunteered at Hines Veteran’s Hospital and helped her nephew, Robert Livermore with his floral business. She and her husband moved to Lombard in the 1970’s.

Peggy J. Cassidy, nee McKeown, age 57, of Silvis IL. formerly of Villa Park died July 28 in Silvis, IL.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 2 from 2 to 8PM at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park, with Funeral Services at 8PM.
Interment was private.
Peggy is survived by a son, Jesse Cassidy of Elmhurst; a grandson, Taylor Cassidy; her mother, Dorothy McKeown; 3 sisters, Dawn Hutchinson of AZ., Amy McKeown of Aurora, Tracy (Phil) Brecking of Silvis and 5 brothers, Terry of Addison, Roger (Janice) of Carol Stream; George (Toni) of AZ., Rory (Sheila) of New Mexico and Andrew of Thailand and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Joseph.

Peggy attended Willowbrook High School. She had worked at Honey Baked Ham in the area.

Live plants preferred instead of fresh cut flowers.

Gregory Lucado, age 53 of Chicago, formerly Lombard, died July 27 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 30 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 31 at 10AM at Brust Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Ridgewood Cemetery, DesPlaines.

Gregory is survived by his mother, Marie nee Santiago, two brothers, Scott (Irene) of Texas and Stuart of Lombard, uncle of 3, nephew of 6; his
Grandmother, Hazel Lucado of MI, and many friends.

Gregory is preceded in death by his father, Ray C. Lucado, and his grandparents, William Lucado and Claire and Edward Santiago.

Gregory was born in Chicago and grew up in Lombard. He graduated from Lombard Jr. High, Glenbard East in 1975 and Loyola University in 1992 with a B.S. in Computer Science. He was a former Vice President of Northern Trust Co. in Chicago and retired in 2007 after 17 years. He travelled Europe and the Caribbean and was just back from St. Martin. He loved computers. He was a big Cub Fan, loved Music and loved the U.S.A.

Memorials to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.

WILLIAM J. TRAVNICK, age 72, of Lombard, died July 24 at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27 from 2 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 28 with prayers at 9:00 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, for 9:30 AM Mass.
Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Mr. Travnick is survived by two daughters, Lynn (fiancé, John Stout) of Addison, and Carol of Lombard; his son, Michael (Jennifer) of Villa Park; his sister, Victoria (Glenn) Rice of Cortland; and many other family and friends.

Mr. Travnick is preceded in death by his wife, Louise E., nee DeCriscio.

Mr. Travnick was a resident of Lombard since 1972. He had celebrated 50 years of marriage. Mr. Travnick loved the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. He enjoyed bowling. Mr. Travnick was a proud lifetime member of the NRA.

JEANNE R. KARNATZ, nee Koeppen, age 86, longtime resident of Lombard, died July 23 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 26 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 27 with Mrs. Karnatz Lying-In-State from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 215 South Lincoln, Lombard.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Mrs. Karnatz is survived by her husband, Arthur H.; her daughter Sue E. (Richard H.) Roellig of Lisle; three sons, Steven A. (Nancy) of Wauconda, Karl G. (Lee Ann) of Geneva, and Allen H. (Lynn) of Vermont; and eight (8) Grandchildren, Elizabeth (Rev. Michael) Manning of Texas, Derek Karnatz of Wauconda, Galen Karnatz of Vermont, Monica Karnatz of Wisconsin, Noah Karnatz of Vermont, Kevin Karnatz of Geneva, Sarah Karnatz of Geneva, and Taylor Karnatz of Wauconda.

Mrs. Karnatz is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Clark.

Mrs. Karnatz was born in Chicago and moved to Lombard in 1948. She was married for 62 years. Mrs. Karnatz loved travelling and Bridge. She was a member of the Lombard Women’s Club. Mrs. Karnatz worked with her husband from 1955 to 1987 at Karnatz Insurance Agency (now Nolan Insurance) in Lombard. They were the first tenant of the Lombard Temple Building on the NW corner of Main and Maple Streets.

Marjorie W. Vanderberg, 91, of Dillsburg, PA and formerly of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Thornwald Home in Carlisle.
She was born June 17, 1919, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Richard & Minnie (Ronda) Van Erden. Marjorie lived there most of her life raising her family and serving the Lord in the Reformed Church.
Marjorie was a homemaker and recently attended Cumberland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, Dillsburg, PA.
She was the widow of John Vanderberg.
Marjorie is survived by two sons; Bruce A. Vanderberg and his wife Gail of Los Altos, CA and Robert W. Vanderberg and his wife Pat of Lemont, IL; two daughters, Susan B. Scherbenske and her husband Jim, of Lexington, KY and Sharon V. Park and her husband Jeff of Dillsburg; two sisters, Ruth Sjaardema and Doris Laning, both of Florida; and eight grandchildren, Bret and Kerry Vanderberg, Bradley Vanderberg, Ashley, Matthew and Hannah Scherbenske, and Jori and Jenna Park. She was predeceased by her son, Roger L. Vanderberg.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 11:00 am in the Brust Funeral Home, LTD., 135 S. Main St., Lombard, IL with a viewing from 10-11 am. Burial will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery.

Florence V. Spejcher, age 90, of Lombard

Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard F. Beloved Mother of, Kristina (the late James) Morgan, Bernadine J. (Thomas W) Nawara, Gregory (Sonya), Andrea (Raymond) Nawara, and Renee (Steven) Bayes. , three brothers, Jesse Osetek (Wife Mary Lou), Theodore Osetek (Wife Delores), Edward Osetek, and one sister, Nancy Osetek Carey (Husband John). She is survived by her sister-in-law, Suzanne Osetek. Florence is the loving grandmother of Thomas A. Nawara, Sara Nawara Hamilton, Robert B. Spejcher, Ramond J. Nawara, Jr., Daniel J. Nawara, David J. Nawara, and Peter J. Nawara, and the loving great grandmother of Maxwell Nawara, Charles Nawara, Lily Nawara, and Jane Hamilton.

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 23, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church. Westmore & Madison Sts. Lombard. Inurnment Assumption Cemetery.

Florence was born April 19, 1920 in Chicago to Valentine and Anna Osetek. She moved to Lombard in 1952 where she remained a resident until her death. She was a member of St. Pius X parish for over 50 years. She was a good and valued friend to many and will be remembered well by all who knew her.

CHARLES F. ‘CHUCK’ ROHDE, age 70, of Lombard, Illinois, died July 17 at Hinsdale Hospital, Hinsdale, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 19 from 4 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 21 with Mr. Rohde Lying-In-State from 9:30 AM until time of Service at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lombard.
Interment will be at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.

Mr. Rohde is survived by his wife, Mary C. nee Kohlstedt; three children, Charles A. (Susan) of Elmhurst, Jason V. of Elmhurst, and Brooke C. (Scott Shields) Rohde of Denver, Colorado; six (6) Grandchildren, Isabelle Rohde of South Carolina, Owen Rohde of South Carolina, Ellaby Rohde of Elmhurst, Lily Shields of Colorado, Denton Rohde of Elmhurst, and Murphy Shields of Colorado; his sister, Dianne Rohde of Downers Grove; his mother-in-law, Deloris Kohlstedt of Lombard, formerly of LaGrange; and many other relatives.

Mr. Rohde was a resident of Lombard 9 years and was formerly of Arlington Heights, IL and Virginia. He was born in Hammond, Indiana and was a graduate of Hammond High School. He had attended Valparaiso and was a graduate of Indiana University. Mr. Rohde was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard.

Mrs. Marsh is survived by four children, Sharon L. (Larry R.) Karch of Algonquin, Tracy L., Jr. (Nancy) of Winnebago, Patricia L. (Robert P.) Buesing of Roselle, Joan L. (James E.) Phelps of Lombard; seven (7) grandchildren; four (4) great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Marsh is preceded in death by her husband, Tracy L.

Mrs. Marsh was a resident of Friendship Village since 1996 and was formerly a 39 year resident of Berkeley. She was a member of Jobs Daughters.
