Donald L. McCarver, age 45, suddenly, of Lombard, died October 21 at Mt. Sinai, Chicago.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Monday, October 25 from 4PM until time of service 7 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.
Interment Private

Donald McCarver is survived by three sons, Donald, Robert and Stephen all from Lombard; his mother, Georgia of Wheaton, and a brother, Robert of Alabama.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, Donald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to P.A.D.S. would be appreciated.

Donald was a Veteran of the U. S. Marines. He was an excellent carpenter and a great artist. He was a History buff. He loved to eat and enjoyed camping, fishing and outdoor activities with his boys. He was a coach for the Lombard Falcons.

GRAHAM W WATSON, age 85, of Lombard, died October 17 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20 from 3 to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Brust Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Mr. Watson is survived by two daughters, Marilou Watson of Glendale Heights, and Cynthia Jean (Donald) Jacobs of Lombard; his son, Robert J. (Eileen) Watson of Wheaton; three grandchildren, Courtney (Kevin) Perna of Romeoville, Shannon Marie Watson of Wheaton, and Sara Jean Jacobs of Lombard; his great-grandson, Andrew John Perna of Romeoville; his brother, William Watson; and many loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his wife, Elsa C., nee Turner; and his brother John (Doris) Watson.

Mr. Watson was a resident of Lombard for 55 years. He was a graduate of Steinmetz High School in Chicago. Mr. Watson was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific. He had managed service stations in Lombard at Main Street & St. Charles, in Wheaton at Geneva & Main Street, and at 5 corners in Glen Ellyn. He had worked as a Maintenance Foreman for Glenbard West and Glenbard East retiring in 1986 from District 87. Mr. Watson loved dancing, musicals, and history.

CAROL ANN SALAS, nee Hoffman, age 53, of Gurnee, formerly of Villa Park, died suddenly, October 16th.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 22 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 23 at 10AM at Brust Funeral Home.
Interment will be Private.

Mrs. Salas is survived by three children, Mickey Wozny of Chicago, Michael of Gurnee, and Jennifer of Woodridge; two grandchildren, Jason Jr., and Alexander Matthiesen; her brother, Christopher J. (Kathy) Hoffman of Addison; her sister, Janet (Kevin) Riddick of Antioc; her niece, Michele Colley; and her nephew, Sherman Donson.

Mrs. Salas was a member of the Illinois State Crime Commission.

ANTHONY ‘BRUNO’ CERRA, age 73, of Lombard, died October 17 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 22 with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, Villa Park, for a 10:00 AM Mass.
Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Mr. Cerra is survived by his wife, Marian P., nee Kopulos; and his daughter, Jean M. of Lombard.

Mr. Cerra was a resident of Lombard 20 years and was formerly of Addison.

MARGARET E. GIBSON, nee Lederer, age 87, of Oak Park, died October 14 at her home.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 18 with Visitation from 11:00 AM until time of Service at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be private at Elmlawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her son, Eric Gibson of Oak Park; two daughters, Joyce (Dale) Blanchard of Bolingbrook, and Joanne (Gary) Hamblin of Oregon; her granddaughter, Tana (Jeff) Sanders of North Aurora; and her brother, Ed (Emily) Lederer of Bolingbrook.
Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her husband, Sven Egan Gibson.

Mrs. Gibson was a resident of Oak Park for 1 year and had spent most of her life in the Lombard/Villa Park area. She had lost her husband as a young mom and raised her children and worked for General Electric retiring in 1990.

Jane K. Glogowski, 86, formerly of Lombard died October 14 at Wauconda Healthcare and Rehab, Wauconda.

Mrs. Glogowski is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Nelson of Round Lake, her two sons: Chester M. (Jean) of Minneapolis, MN, Jerrold S. (Elizabeth) of Algonquin; 5 grandchildren, Don (Kari) Wendt, Edward (Kim) Glogowski and Jimmy,
Eden and Kala Nelson; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaley, Steven, Tommy, Austin, Brayden, Brianna, Mariah and Tiara; her brother-in-laws, Joe Malczyk, Robert Kosman and Stanley Charnevsky; her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many other relatives.

Mrs. Glogowski is preceded in death by her husband, Chester F.; her sisters, Mary Malczyk, Bernice Kosman, and Josephine Charnevsky; her brother, Edwin Kwit and her son-in-law, Edward Nelson.

Mrs. Glogowski was a resident of Lombard for 53 years.

Mrs. Neary is survived by four children; Sean (Molly) of Downers Grove, Maureen (John) Mihic of Lombard, Tim (Katie) of Naperville and Mike (Evelyn) of Lombard; 10 grandchildren, Kevin of Lombard, Thomas of Lombard, Jack of Naperville, Connor of Downers Grove, Patrick of Naperville, Matthew of Lombard, Brandon of Lombard, Annie of Naperville, Carley of Downers Grove& Kate of Downers Grove; six brothers and sisters, Jean (Peter) Conroy of Elmhurst, Joseph (Judy) Branick of Mt. Prospect;, Tom Branick of San Diego, Bonnie (Tony) Mensik of Algonquin, Bob (Lois) Branick of Morton Grove, and Susie (Joe) Latala of Spring Grove,IL. a brother-in-law, Larry Newborn of AZ and many other relatives.

Mrs. Neary is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Neary; a grandson, Daniel, a brother-in-law, Ron Witt and a sister, Maureen Newborn.

Gerry grew up in Chicago and was formerly of Hillside. She resided in Lombard since 1976. She graduated from Providence- St. Mel High School and received her Associate Degree from Triton College. She was employed by Citi Bank in Customer Relations for over 20 years and retired in 1999. She was active at Sacred Heart Church and attended Mass every day. She was active with the Aftercare Program at the Wellness Center in Hinsdale and Woman’s Choice Services in Lombard. Her hobbies were gardening and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Huls will be lying-in-state Monday, Oct. 11, from 9AM until time of funeral service 10AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard.
Interment will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Mrs. Huls is survived by two children, Carl (Christine) Turza of St. Louis and Karen (Michael) Turza Boylan of North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Natalie, Nicky, Michael and Grace; two sisters, Geraldine O’Rouke of Washington State, and Joan Manshreck of Lombard and two brothers, William (Mary) Erdmann of Genoa,IL and George (Fran) Erdmann of Huntley,IL; an uncle, Kenneth (Rita) Erdmann of Chicago and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Huls is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Nelson.

Gary K. Krause, age 72, of Lombard

Gary K. Krause, age 72, of Lombard died October 6 at home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 11 with prayers at Brust Funeral Home at 10:30AM to St. Pius X Church for 11AM Mass.
Interment will be private at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Mr. Krause is survived by his wife, Sue nee Thiese; three children, Laura (Michael) Woo of Chicago, Bill (Marilen) of Lake Zurich and Tom (Kim) of Lombard; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Ben, Emily, Elisa, Jenifer and Hannah; two brothers, Lynn (Kay) of Joliet and Gil (Shirley) of Plano, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Krause is preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylen and Loren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent dePaul Society, c/o St. Pius X Church, 1025 E. Madison, Lombard, IL. 60148 would be appreciated.

Mr. Krause was the 1955 Captain of the wrestling team and graduate of York High School. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church since 1967. He retired from AT&T as a Staff Manager. He was a volunteer for P.A.D.S.  He helped out family and friends with electrical and phone work. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and card player.
