Charles “Chuck” Reynolds, age 71, of Lombard

Charles “Chuck” Reynolds, age 71, of Lombard died April 28 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1 from 2 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Brust Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Donna; two children, Tammie (Brian) Olsen of Wisconsin, and Chuck (Jennifer) of Addison; three grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, and Colin; his brother John; his sister, Linda, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara and Sheila.

Mr. Reynolds was a long-time resident of Lombard.  He owned Chuck’s Tire Service for 37 years.  Mr. Reynolds had worked for Elmhurst Disposal for over 30 years.  He had been married for almost 42 years.  Mr. Reynolds loved to help people and enjoyed tractor, truck, and farm auctions.  He had a love for animals and raised raccoons.  Mr. Reynolds loved to plow snow.  He loved his mother-in-law.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of Lombard Moose 2350.

CHARLOTTE H. BARRETT, nee Haase, age 83, of Lombard

CHARLOTTE H. BARRETT, nee Haase, age 83, of Lombard died April 26 at  home.

Visitation will be held Friday 4 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at Brust Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake, Illinois.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her son, John (Penni) Barrett; three daughters, Virginia Barrett, Joanne (Charles) Winge, and Janet Barrett Nemeth; seven grandchildren, Matthew Zadak, Amanda Rose (Vince) Giordano, Nate and Callie Winge, Jason Barrett, and Jessica and Stephanie Nemeth; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Liliana, and Nikko; two brothers, Richard and Edward Haase; her sister, Arlene Warco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barrett is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her brother, William Haase; and her beloved daughter, Susan.

Mrs. Barrett was born on July 17, 1927.  She was reborn into the Kingdom of God on December 4, 1958, the date she called her second birthday.  Charlotte graduated from New Trier High School and was a member of the band and glee club.  She married Bernard Barrett in 1949 and was a loving mother to five children.  They celebrated 40 years of marriage.  Mrs. Barrett retired from Ameritech (AT&T) as a marketing clerk.  Charlotte created many beautiful hand knitted heirlooms for her children and grandchildren that will be cherished along with the memory of her devotion to her family.  She was known for always looking stylishly beautiful as well as having a beautiful caring heart.  Charlotte loved the lord Jesus and followed his words daily.  Believing sincerely in God’s commandment to us to love one another, Charlotte lovingly gave of herself, considering all to be her neighbors, and helped many in need.

Marian J. Lidicker, nee Johnston, age 98, of Lombard, died April 26 at Beacon Hill Health Care, Lombard, Illinois.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 29 with Visitation from 10 AM until time of Service at 12:00 Noon at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Mrs. Lidicker is survived by three children, Richard Johnston (Marilyn) Lidicker of Woodinville, Washington, Virginia Ann “Ginger” (John) Sienkowski of Virginia, and Chip Lidicker of Fox Lake; 10 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lidicker is preceded in death by her husband, Roger “Bud”; her grandson, Rick Lidicker; and two brothers, James and Robert Johnston.

Mrs. Lidicker was a resident of Lombard since 1943.  She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1934.  Mrs. Lidicker worked at the Helen Plum Library as a Librarian during the 1950’s thru the 1970’s.  She was a Board Member of the Lombard Historical Society; and Historian and Docent there.  Mrs. Lidicker was a Book Club Member, Member of the Red Hat Society at Beacon Hill, and a Member of the First Church of Lombard.

BRADLEY A. EBBERT, age 48, formerly of Lombard, IL.

A loving gift from God on May 11, 1962, passed away on April 16, 2011, in a tragic motorcycle accident in FL.  Loving and devoted father of Bradley and Olivia, beloved son of Geneva and Ray, cherished brother of Jennifer Reinecke (Steve) and loving uncle of Nicholas and Madison.  Nephew of Ron Nichols (Virginia), Special Love of Susan Harris who brought him happiness and fun.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard, on May 1, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations to Toys for Tots in Brad’s memory would be appreciated.

Dorothy A. Lake, age 85, of  Glen Ellyn, formerly of Villa Park, died April 21 at Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26, at Brust Funeral Home from 8:30AM until prayers at 9:15 AM to Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1S314 Summit Ave.,  Oakbrook Terrace for 10 AM Mass.

Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Dorothy is survived by a sister, Helen G. Gill of Lombard; a brother, Donald E. (Christina) of McHenry; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Edward T. & Agnes V. nee Sweeney and a brother-in-law, William Gill.

She was a proud member of the Dreamers. She was a long time member  and Woman of the Year of the Council of Catholic Women at Ascension Church in Oakbrook Terrace. She was a long time volunteer for the West Suburban Humane Society.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Ascension Catholic Church Religious Education Program would be appreciated.

ROBERT ERIC RAYMOND, age 48, of Midland, Michigan

ROBERT ERIC RAYMOND, age 48, of Midland, Michigan, formerly of Lombard, died suddenly April 17 in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, April 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 7pm followed by a short Service at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Mr. Raymond is survived by his wife, Deborah K., nee Meyer; two sons, Christopher (Brandi) U.S. Army, and Michael of Oswego; his mother and step-father, Marcia H (Raymond) Norton of Lombard; four sisters, Cynthia J. (Christopher) Meehan of Massachusetts, Patricia (Edward) Bolton of Virginia, Terri Newman of North Carolina, and Nancy (Gregory) Beltrame of Lombard; and his nieces and nephews, Nikki and Tim Pivnichny, Katherine and Raymond Prevallet, Aimee Prevallet, Nathan Green, Rebekah Meehan, Julia Meehan, Alex Vavarutsos, Jim Newman, Maria Beltrame, Lisa Beltrame, and Elena Beltrame.

Mr. Raymond is preceded in death by his father, Robert Raymond.

Eric was born November 1, 1962.  He spent most of his life in Lombard.  He was a graduate of Hammerschmidt Grade School and a 1980 graduate of Glenbard East High School.  Eric worked for several Chicago area roofing contractors and roofing inspection firms before opening his own roof consulting firm:  Raymond Roof Consulting, Inc.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, darts and playing poker.

Don Behrendt, age 78, of Lombard

Don Behrendt, age 78, of Lombard since 1960, passed away peacefully on April 13.2011. He was born Gordon Joseph Behrendt on August 24, 1032 to the late Joseph and Beatrice Behrendt. Don grew up on the west side of Chicago. He bravely served in the Korean War with the 7th Infantry Division, 31st Regiment, Easy Company.

Don enjoyed working for the Lombard Park District for over 24 years and retired as the Superintendent of the Maintenance Dept. He loved to work along side his men.; physically planting hundreds of trees and thousands of tulips, building the toboggan hill at Sunset Knoll, dragging baseball fields, snowplowing ice skating ponds. He loved being out of doors, goose hunting, bicycling with his friend, the opera and especially spending time with his grandchildren. reading to them, and enjoying their musical concerts and baseball games. He was a hard working, warm, caring, thoughtful and generous man who was respected by all who had the privilege to know him.

 

Don is survived by Christine nee Groski, his wife of 53 years; his son, John (Ann Marie) of Lombard, daughters, Jennifer (Rex) Irby of Elmhurst and Mary Frances (Eric) Reutzel of PA. He is the cherished grandfather of Lauren, Michael, Johnny, Christopher, Alyssa, Jacob and Samuel; dear brother of Patricia (Phil) Kroncke of WI, brother-in-law of Mania Pavlos of Bolingbrook and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Edward (Judy) Manning and sister, Jeanne Ingram.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 18 at 10:30 A.M. at Brust Funeral Home.

LAWRENCE J. GIANNINI, age 94, of Lombard, died April 14 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Illinois.

Funeral Service will be Monday, April 18 with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 10 AM Mass.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.

Mr. Giannini is survived by five (5) children, Larry H. (Susan) of Carol Stream, Louise R. Fromer of Lombard, Lorraine A. (Jerry) Schwarzkopf of Arizona, Daniel L. (Barbara Ann) of Wheaton, Linda M. (Norman) Duddridge of Lombard; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two (2) great-great grandchildren; his brother, Louis of Wood Dale; many nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Jeanette DeVries of Lombard.

Mr. Giannini is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice D.; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Mr. Giannini was a resident of Lombard 60 years.  He retired in 1981 from Giannini Music Center in Chicago where he taught Accordion and Guitar.  Mr. Giannini was a member of the International Musicians Union and the Chicago Federation of Musicians.  Mr. Giannini was a stained-glass artist.
