
Curtis L. Chrisman, age 91 of Lombard, Illinois passed away June 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He has been a resident at Lexington Healthcare since December, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Chrisman of Rockford, IL and is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 60 years, son Clark Chrisman (Renee), daughter Melody Mathieu (Larry), grandchildren Keith, Janelle, Lee, Lance, Malorie and sister Doris Taylor of Rockford, Illinois.
Curt was born September 23, 1919 and grew up in Rockford and was educated in Rockford schools. Later he attended Ray Vogue School of Art and Design in Chicago where he graduated as a commercial artist. He worked for various art studios in Chicago and retired in 1983. He was married in Rockford in 1951 where he and his wife lived for a short time before moving to Cleveland, Ohio, then Chicago and eventually Lombard where they have lived for 55 years.
Curt was a veteran of the U.S.Army Air Corps and served in the China-India-Burma Theater of Operation from 1942-1945. He enlisted January 1, 1942 and received an honorable discharge December 28, 1945. He was a Corporal QMC and received the Service Stripe, 5 Overseas ribbons, the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal as well as being a Sharpshooter.
Curt was an avid outdoorsman and loved all aspects of Mother Nature. He enjoyed gardening, picnicking, and the family enjoyed doing these things together. Both he and his wife Marilyn have been members of First United Methodist Church of Lombard for 55 years.

Funeral – Thur. June 30 – 11:00 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard
Internment – Chapel Hill Gardens

CHRISTINE A. CROSSMAN, nee Zielinski, age 53, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died June 13 at Glen Oak Hospital, Glendale Heights, Illinois.
