Marguerite L. Thompson, age 90, of Lombard, died July 28 at Lexington Healthcare Center, Lombard.

Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

Mrs. Thompson had been married for 57 years. She retired from Western Electric. She was a resident of Lombard since 1968 and was very active in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mary Christine Collins, nee Brewer, 80, of Lombard, died Wednesday, July 27 at home surrounded by family.

Visitation Monday 9:00 A.M. until time of Funeral services  Monday, August 1^st at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main, Lombard, with Cindy Wallace, Chaplain of Alexian Brothers Hospice, officiating.  Interment will be private at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her children, Thomas, Donald, Diane all of Lombard, and Thelma (Greg) Warner of Rockford; and the grandchildren, Robert, Rebecca, and Benjamin; her sisters, Nell Griffith and Nina Sawyers; her brothers, Fred and Wilbur.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude and son, David.

Mrs. Collins was born in Sharon, TN and was a resident of Lombard since 1962. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Lombard VFW Post #5815. She was also a founding member of Meadowlark Quilting Club and was able to quilt until the last days of her life.

Thanks to her hospice care team she was able to enjoy life to the fullest for the past two years.

BETTY M. SNYDER, nee Rosenkrans, age 75, of Villa Park, died July 25 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Mrs. Snyder is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E.; four sisters, Grace, Anne, Rose, and Mary; her brother, Bud; and two brother-in-laws, Joseph Milkoski, and Roy Brainerd.

Mrs. Snyder was a resident of Villa Park for 53 years.  She was very active in the community including, gardening, animal care, and scouting.

Marian Gierczak, Age 88 passed away peacefully on July 22, 2011. Marian is survived by two children, Glenn (Lisa) of Naperville and Mark (Jeanne) of Glen Ellyn and three grandchildren, Carly, Max and Danny.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Genevieve and his daughter Nina.

Marian was born in Poland and came to the United States in 1957. He was a resident of DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton where he had many friends. He loved hummingbirds and fishing and visiting with his family.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Grand Av & County Line Road, Elmhurst, IL  60126.

Mary J. Sloane, age 74, of Lombard, died July 23 at her home.

Mrs. Sloane is survived by two children, Paul (Kim) of Lombard, and Nell of Schaumburg; five grandchildren, Amy (Dave) Quigley, Amanda (Anthony) Izzi, Ashley (Jack Koslinski), and Frank and Travis Sylvester; and four (4) great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sloane had taught 5^th grade in the Maywood School District for many years.  She was a graduate of Quincy College.  She loved to read and cook.  Mrs. Sloane had flown on the Concord twice to Europe.

Mrs. Duda loved to crochet, bake, ceramics and garden.  She was an avid reader, and a member of the Red Hat Society.  Most of all, she loved spending time with family and grandkids.

Mr. Coronado had been a resident of Lombard for 33 years and a long time member of Christ the King church.  He was a former referee for high school and grade school sports for over 40 years.  He was a hall monitor at Glenbard East High School after retirement.
