Ronald E. Foresman, age 66, of Florida, formerly Lombard 35 years, died February 28 in Michigan.

Visitation will be held Friday, 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard, IL.

Funeral service will be Saturday with prayers at 9:30AM at Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church for 10AM Mass.

Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon, nee Pollard, two daughters, Deanna C. (Eric) Lindstrom of Ann Arbor, MI & Danielle C. (Timothy) Bailey of Lombard; a son, David R. of Wheaton; 9 grandchildren, Ryan and Benjamin Lindstrom; Emily, Grace and Cora Newman; & Jacob, Jeremiah, Justice and Jiles Bailey; two sisters, Esther (the late Jim) Thomas, Roseville, IL. & Leatha (Joseph) Hutson, Donahue, IA; one brother, Merlin (Janet) Foresman, Hebron, IN., one brother-in-law, Roger Hofland, Bettendorf, IA and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Foresman is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin P. and Mary I. (nee Markey) Foresman; one granddaughter, Julia Bailey; three brothers, Edward (the late Emmy Lou) Foresman, Dr. Robert Foresman and Dr. James Foresman; three sisters, Elsie (the late Paul) Hartman, Betty Ann (the late Don)Williams and Mary Jane Hofland.

Ron grew up the youngest of 10 children on a 320 acre farm in the western part of Illinois (Henderson County). He attended a one room country school with only one teacher, which was a unique experience.  He graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1963 and the University of Iowa in 1967. He was a lifetime Hawkeye fan. He then graduated from the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in 1968 and married Sharon in Escanaba, MI on June 1, 1968. He served his apprenticeship at Strang Funeral Home in Antioch, IL. He then received his State of Illinois Funeral Director and Embalmers Licences. He and Sharon purchased  Jones Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL, in 1970 and owned it until 1975. In July of 1975 he went to work for Brust Funeral Home in Lombard, IL where he was employed until his retirement in August 2010. He and Sharon moved permanently to Bradenton, FL to enjoy retirement. In his 35 years in Lombard he enjoyed many positions and involvement in many groups and clubs: Lombard Jaycees, Lombard Area Chamber of Commerce, Lombard Lions Club, YMCA , YMCA Indian Princesses, YMCA Indian Guides, YMCA Trailblazers, Third Degree Member of Father Boecker Council 6090 Knights of Columbus, DuPage County Funeral Directors and Illinois Funeral Directors Association. He was chosen Lombard Man of the Year for 1983. He was a former member of St. Pius X Church and a CCD teacher there and a current long time member of Sacred Heart Church. SHIRLEY L. BRANDT, nee Brustkern, age 94, of Glen Ellyn, died February 26 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 29 from 3 to 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 1 with Mrs. Brandt Lying-In-State from 9:30 AM to time of Service at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church, 155 South Main Street, Lombard.

Mrs. Brandt is survived by four children, John T., III (Vickie) of Atlanta, Georgia, Cheryl (Jerry) Kuhn of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Terry (Greg) Wilhite of Glen Ellyn, and Pam (Ken) Novak of Lombard; 14 grandchildren, Shawna (Vin) Audibert, Justin(Sunny), Courtney (Eric) Wright, Erin, Jason (De), Cari (Ben) Hotchkiss, Julie (Matt) Utley, Gary (Maggie), Adam, Matt, Jaime (Eric) Eiseman, Jessie, Ben, and Erik; 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Merle Jenkins of California, and Marion Stofle of California, many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives.
Mrs. Brandt is preceded in death by her husband, John T., Jr.

Mrs. Brandt was a resident of Glen Ellyn 17 years and was formerly of Lombard 31 years. She was born in Emerson, Nebraska and was a graduate of Emerson High School. Mrs. Brandt was an active member of First United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

LORRAINE M. HERRERA, nee Jordan, age 80, of Downers Grove, formerly of Lombard, died February 23 at her home.

Mrs. Herrera is survived by her son, Jim (Lori) of Lombard; her daughter, JoAnn (Ed) Hurst; eight (8) grandchildren, Jon, Heather Herrera (Justin), Meagan (Tim) Grassman, Anthony, Matthew, Caitlin, Chloe and Tom Hurst; two (2) great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Anthony; her sister, Marlene Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Herrera is preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette (the late Ralph); two brothers, Michael, and Jim (the late Louisa); and her brother-in-law, Bob Johnson.

Mrs. Herrera was a resident of Lombard 50 years. She enjoyed travelling with family extensively. Mrs. Herrera was an avid Cub fan. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Mrs. Herrera was a loving mother. She loved Lilacia Park.

Mr. Raysby was preceded in death by his brother, David.

Mr. Raysby was Seabee in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Alaska and the Philippines.  He lived in Lombard since 1960.  He was the owner and CEO of Raysby’s Development.  He won an award for his remodeling of the Harold Gray Home in Lombard.  He was active in his church as the Song Director.  He loved sharing the Gospel.  He sang in a barber shop quartet, West Towns Chorus and the Singing Men of Oak Brook.

Thomas A. Uczen, age 55, of Elmhurst, formerly of Lombard, died February 25 at home.

Visitation will be held Friday from 3-8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street,  Lombard.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:30 PM at Brust Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.

Mr. Uczen was the beloved husband of Kathryn J. nee Charvat; dear father of Andrea J. (Justin) Gotsch of Hinckley, IL and Justin T. (Jamie M.) of Glendale Heights, IL; cherished grandfather of Justin T. II and a soon-to-be 2^nd grandson.  He is the dearest son of Laura Pace of Arizona; brother of Eugene (Joyce) and Alice (Frank) Hladon; and uncle and great uncle of many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Uczen and his step-father Jon Pace.

Mr. Uczen worked as a baker at Jewel Food Stores for 32 years.  He was a 1974 graduate of Glenbard East High School.  He loved camping, canoeing and astronomy.

ROSE SAUNDERS BEHLING, nee Coghlan, age 83, of Lombard, died February 20 at Lexington Health Care, Lombard.

Mrs. Behling is survived by three sons, Edward Saunders of Chicago, John Saunders of Wheaton, and Bill (Laura) Saunders of Lombard; her daughter, Kathleen Camp of Naperville; seven (7) grandchildren, Robert (Emily), Sean (Dani), Jamie (Tim) Staab, Jessica, Kimberly, Shannon, and Kevin; her sister, Margaret Veron of Homer Glen; and many other relatives.

Mrs. Behling is preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Saunders, and Herman “Bud” Behling; her son, Robert; and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Behling was a resident of Lombard since the mid-1960’s.  She had attended DePaul University, was a graduate of Secretary School and earned her Associates Degree from College of DuPage.  Mrs. Behling had been a school Secretary for Briar Glen school in Wheaton during the 1970’s.  She had retired from Lucent in 1992 after 15 years of service as an Administrative Assistant.  Mrs. Behling had been a Volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital.  She enjoyed walking, gardening, and reading.  Mrs. Behling was a former 35 year member of St. Pius X Church in Lombard.

Bertha E. (Bernice) Turay, nee Nych, age 92, of Lombard ,WWII Army Veteran, died February 21 at home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, from 10AM until 12:30PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard to St. Pius X Church for 1PM Mass.

Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Mrs. Turay is survived by her husband, Michael J. of 66 years, her daughter, Shirley A. Grimsley (Dave Kartuska) of Roselle; her daughter-in-law, Sandra R. of Lombard; 4 grandchildren, Lennie (Maureen) Grimsley, Michael Turay, Tina Turay and Marisa (Dominic) Zeffiro; 11 great-grandchildren; aunt and great-aunt of many.

Mrs. Turay is preceded in death by two sons, Michael R. and James R. and 2 brothers, Michael and Lee and 2 sisters Josephine and Pauline.

Bertha was an Army Surgical Nurse (Staff Sgt.) during WWII. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, Lombard,  since 1957. Bertha and her husband were married in February, 1946. She was a loving wife and devoted mother.

Meyers, Florida; two brothers, Anthony (Amelia) Romano of Elburn, and Frank (Loudine) Romano of Forest Park; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. O’Neill is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; her sister, Marie (the late Joseph) Dominik; and her brother-in-law, Robert La Frenere.

Mrs. O’Neill was a resident of Lombard for 57 years and a member of St. Pius X Church for over 50 years.

Joseph J. Trotta, age 62, of Lombard, died February 16 at home.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.

Funeral service will be Monday, with prayers at 10:15 AM at Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church for 11AM Mass of Christian Burial. Committal service will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Trotta was the owner of Comp-Pro Services. He was a former Auxiliary Police Officer of Villa Park over 20 years. He was an avid water and snow skier, boater,  and a motorcyle rider. He loved to dance and laugh.

CHARLES K. SCHWAB, age 89, World War II Army Veteran, of St. Joseph, Michigan died February 9 in Michigan.

Mr. Schwab was a retired postal worker of 25 years. He was a former truck driver for Star Chemical. Mr. Schwab loved to fish. He had played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals.
