American FlagWoodGlenn F. Wood, age 88, of Lombard, died November 26 at home.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 30 from 1PM until time of service 4 PM. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.

Interment Private Chapel Hill Gardens West.

Mr. Wood is survived by 4 sons, Geoffrey (Sabrina) of Downers Grove, Paul (Mary) of Naperville, Lowell (Stella) of Romeoville and Ron (Rev. Kim) of Ottawa,IL; a daughter, Chelle of Lombard; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchilden and a sister, Dorothy (Cliff) Culpepper of North Carolina.

Mr. Wood was a resident of Lombard for 80 years.  He graduated from Lincoln School and Glenbard High School and attended Elmhurst College and Northwestern University Law School. He was married to the late Eldonna nee Baker, for 63 years.  He served in the U. S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 and earned Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Campaign medals for American area, European-African area, Asiatic-Pacific area,, Philippine Liberation Medal, Good Conduct Medal,and the World War II Victory Medal). He served on Fleet Tugs and Sub Chasers.  He was a licensed Real Estate Broker and Insurance Broker. He was a member of The Society of Real Estate  Appraisers. He worked as a real estate appraiser for Fairfield Savings & Loan in Chicago for 35 years. He was a former member of the Lombard Jaycees. He was a member of  Lombard Lodge 1098 AF& AM. and a Life Member of the Lombard VFW  Lilac Post 5815 He was a two-time Commander for the Lombard American Legion Post 391 and was Past President of the Lombard PTA for School  District 44. He was a Republican Party Precinct Committeeman and a Candidate for Illinois House of Representatives in 1964 and was a candidate for Illinois State Senate in 1966. He was a former lay leader at the First Methodist Church in Lombard.

atkinsonRosemarie Atkinson, nee, Kraus, age 88, of Plainfield formerly Lombard, died November 24 at Lakewood Nursing Home, Plainfield.

Visitation will be held at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard,

Friday, from 3 to 9 PM.       

Funeral service will be held  Saturday, Nov. 30 with prayers at Brust Funeral Home at 10:30AM to St. Pius X Church for 11AM Mass.

Interment will be Saturday at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Mrs. Atkinson is survived by  three daughters, Pamela (Jim) Bratcher of CA, Andrea Rizzo of Westmont and Cynthia (Brian) Lewis of Wilmington, IL; a son, Glenn (Maria) Jasin of Lombard;  6 step-children; 11 grand-children : Frank, James, Vincent, David, Jennifer, Louis, Henry, Jeremiah, Zebulon, Elijah & Morrigan.

Mrs. Atkinson is preceded in death by her husbands, Francis F. Jasin and Ronald N. Atkinson  and a grandson, Matthew.

 Mrs. Atkinson built her house in town in 1953. She lived in Lombard over 58 years and resided in Plainfield the last 2 years.  She was a member of St . Pius X Church and was a past member of the Naperville

Moose.  She worked for Naperville Country Club for over 25 years as Assistant Manager.

Hattie “Babe” Rauch, 91, formerly of Lombard and Villa Park, passed away peacefully in her home in Pittsburg, PA.

Babe was born 2-2-22. She was married to the love of her life, the late Frederick William Rauch. Beloved mother to Paul (Janet Stewart), Jody (Norman Frey), and grandmother to Paul and Scott Rauch (Briana), Ehren, Arlie and Callie Frey, Aunt of Nick Ticaric (Patti), and great aunt to Nicole, Michael and Jordan.

Babe was preceded in death by her sister Eleanor Ticaric Harrington, who together owned and operated the Cornell Snack Shop in Villa Park for many years. She was an extraordinary card player, enjoyed bingo, walking, bowling and a good game of golf. Babe’s fun loving personality, smile and laugh will be missed by all who have had the pleasure to know her.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home. Private Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, Illinois.

Mrs. Oder is survived by her beloved husband, Alden W. “Al”; two daughters, Catherine A. (Michael) Rott of Aurora and Christine M. (Mark) Brawley of Arlington Heights; four grandchildren, Ethan, Elizabeth, Sara & Sean; a sister, MaryAnn (Carl) Dugo; a brother, Terry Sullivan; a niece, Joan; and three nephews, Carl, Christopher and Anthony.

Mrs. Oder is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Dorothy Sullivan and her brother, Michael Sullivan.

Mrs. Oder had been a resident of Lombard for 47 years and was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church.

Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Irons, Michigan.

Mrs. Wist is survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and a cousin, Jean (the Late Henry) Gryzbac.
Mrs. Wist is preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus “Ted”, a brother, John; a sister-in-law, Lillian Wittek and her parents, Ignacz & Johanna.

Ernest Santeralli, age 88, of Villa Park, beloved husband of 66 years of the late Mollie nee Manzo. Loving father of Richard (Rosemary) of Wood Dale, Patricia Schwabek of Naperville, Claire (Joseph) Gregoire of Chicago, Ernest C. “Ernie” (Janet) of Lombard. Grandfather of Dina (Michael) Booth of Elmhurst, Nicolette (Anthony) DiGiorgio of Glen Ellyn, Alicia Santeralli of Lombard, Derek Schwabek of Naperville, Melissa Santeralli of Lombard, Kevin Schwabek of Naperville, Ernie J. Santeralli of Lombard. Great Grandfather of Ryan, Vitarose, Aubrey, Sofia, Jillian and Pauly D. Dear brother of Lou (Ruth) Santarelli of Florida, Clara (John) Iovinelli of Schaumburg, and the late Joseph, Andrew and Dominic. Many other relatives.

Mr. Santeralli was resident of Villa Park for 56 years. He was married to his late wife, Mollie, for 66 years. He was born in Chicago and grew up in Italy until age 4. He then returned to Chicago. He owned Troy Fuel Oil in Chicago from his mid 20’s until he retired at age 67, for 40 plus years. He was a member of RAI-NORS Italian American Society Club and the BreakfastClub in Oakbrook.

Visitation will be Monday, November 11 from 3 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard. Funeral will be Tuesday, November 12 with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Christ the King Church, Lombard for 10 AM Mass. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.

Mr. Skrzynecki is survived by his son, Darwin (Diana).

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Dolores nee Kasprowicz.

Mr. Skrzynecki served in the US Navy and was a Merchant Marine.

 Mrs. Felske is survived by her husband, Marion J.; three children, JoAnne V. (Norbert J.) Mateja of Lombard, Jerome Felske of Chicago, and Karen (Jim) Iversen of Lombard; 10 grandchildren, Wally (Susan) Waksmacki of Florida, Joseph Waksmacki of Florida, Lori (Jim) Gardner of Shorewood, Marion (Joseph) Cannici of Bartlett, Jennette (Thomas) Faragoi of Lombard, Jerry (Kathy) Felske of Joliet, Michael (Shawnta) Mateja of Oswego, JoAnne (Tim) Moberg of Lombard, and Jennifer Zavala of Lyons; and 22 great-grandchildren.

 Mrs. Felske was a resident of Hickory Hills 9 years and was formerly of Justice, Illinois 38 years, and Chicago.  She had been married 72 years.  Mrs. Felske was a member of St. Patricia Parish in Hickory Hills, Illinois.

 In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
