Loving father of Donna of Hillsboro, Illinois and Greg of Roselle, Illinois.  Cherished Grandfather of four (4): Krystal, Amanda, Cody and Candie. Dearest brother of Eleanor (the late Ed) Pollack, Vicky (Jim) Scolari and preceded by George (the late Elaine), Connie (the late Ruth) and Charlie.  Uncle and Great uncle of many.

Visitation Monday, February 2, from 3 to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Interment Private at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Mr. Dulceak liked to bowl, enjoyed his dogs, and going to car shows.  He was a construction worker.

Joseph J. Coconato, age 56, of Villa Park

coconatoMr. Joseph Coconato, 56, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 26th at his home in Villa Park, IL.  He spent the majority of his life in the Lombard/Villa Park area, graduating from Glenbard East High School in 1976. Joe was a proud union member since his high school graduation. He was the President and Business Manager of Construction and General Laborers’ Union Local No. 25 and President of the Laborers’ District Council.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice, his father, Joseph and step-father, Robert.  He is survived by his three sons, Joseph, Justin and Vincent and his step-daughters, Lisa and Kaylyn.

In his spare time, you could always find Joe enjoying a cold one and smoking his cigars.  He loved his garden, riding his lawnmower and watching his Chicago Bears.  Sundays were always the most important day to Joe because he loved spending time with his sons and it gave him an excuse to cook one of his fabulous meals.  Even though he had a rough exterior, he was nothing but a giant teddy bear that loved to play practical jokes, so anyone around him had to always keep their eyes open at all times.  Joe had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out his friends and family.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 pm, Thursday, January 29th, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30th at 10 am at Brust Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside.

Edward F. Mica, age 90

MicaEdward F. Mica, age 90, husband of Blanche M., passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015. He was a WWII Army Vet and recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Edward was the father of 3; the late Linda M. Mica, Kathy Mica-Vokal, and Edward J. (Lisa) Mica. Grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 14. Beloved husband of Sheila, loving father of Martin (KrisAnn), Matthew, and Michelle (Chris) Nuzzo.  Cherished grandfather of Calvin, Cody, Hanna, Nathan and Travis.  Dear brother of Evelyn (Bill) Colman, Arlene (Richard) Hocking.

Preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen (Kuk).

Herm loved photography and made his dream come true when he opened Milas Studio on Madison Street in River Forest in 1955.  He was an avid bowler throughout his life and for many years played on and sponsored softball teams. Herm was very involved in the Lions Club and served as President for several years.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 PM to 9PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday with 9:15 AM prayers from Brust Funeral Home to St. John the Apostle Church, 330 N Westmore Ave, Villa Park, for a 10 AM Mass.  Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Mr. Fret is survived by his wife Michelle nee Bazdor, his children Veronica Mazzuca of Glen Ellyn and Greg (Christine) of Streamwood; his grandchildren Eddie, Taylor, and Jessica and his great grandchild Ellie.

He was preceded in death by one sister and his son- in-law Edward Mazzuca.

Mr. Fret had been a resident of Lombard for 37 years.  He was a member of St. John the Apostle Church and a former member of St. Pius X Church.  He was retired from General Motors where he worked as a Tool & Die maker and was a member of the UAW.

RUDOLPH J. FRITZ, age 93, of Lombard

American FlagFritzRUDOLPH J. FRITZ, age 93, of Lombard, died January 15 at Tabor Hills Health Care Facility, Naperville, Illinois.

Mr. Fritz is survived by his brother Harold, and preceded in death by his wife, June.

Mr. Fritz was a resident of Lombard over 50 years.  He had retired in 1984 as Assistant Manager of Continental Bank.

Mr. Fritz was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. During World War II and Korea.  In World War II, he took part in the campaigns on Guadalcanal, New Guinea, New Britain and Peleliu as part of the 1st Marine Division.

In Korea he was part of the 7th Marines taking part in the liberation of Seoul and the Chosin Reservation battle and breakout.  He was wounded in Korea and received the Purple Heart.

Mr. Fritz also received the Presidential Unit Citation.

Mr. Fritz was a member of the VFW. Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, January 22 from 6 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Eleanore M. Bednarowicz nee Markiewicz, age 89, of Lombard

Eleanore is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Kathy) of Chicago and Michael (Debra) of Lombard; three grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, and Tina (Pat) Powers; great-grandmother of Alexia and Nickolos; sister of Genevieve (the late Conrad) Kasprzycki; aunt and great- aunt.

Eleanore is preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. and two brothers, Henry and Stanley Markiewicz.

Eleanore was formerly of Niles, IL and Kimberly City, MO.

Irene is survived by one brother, Robert; two sisters, Georgiana and Josephine; four nieces and nephews, Joie, Jimmy, Nora, and Marty.

Irene is preceded in death by seven brothers, Daniel, John, Francis, James, Thomas, Richard, Charles; and one sister, Ruth.

The love of Irene’s life, was her dog, Sammy. She was faithful to the Lord. Irene taught school for thirty years, retired and then volunteered for handicapped children with her special pal, Sammy. She enjoyed gardening and being an owner of race horses.
