Ulbert, RayRAmerican Flagaymond Edward Ulbert, age 75  proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away bravely but peacefully, July 28, at home surrounded by his entire family.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 pm to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St, Lombard. Prayers will be Saturday at 9:15 am from Brust Funeral Home to St Pius X Church for 10 am Mass.
Beloved husband, best friend and soulmate of 54 years to Mary nee Brady. Cherished father of Caroleann (Vince) Aceret, Denise (Bill) Shaughnessy, Sheryl Lynn (Keith) Bialoruski, Dan (Andrea) Ulbert, Debra (Ian) Niemiec. Loving grandfather of Lindsey (fiancé Joey Garcia), Erica, Noah (fiance Brittney Marks), Caley, Colleen, Jane, Danah, Zach, Breanne, Alex, Jake, Chloe, Karina, and great papa to Jaxson and Lucas Raymond. Dearest brother of David (Sally) DeVoy. Adored uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by his father, Richard Ulbert; his mother, Mary Catherine DeVoy; and his sister, Carol Ann.
Ray loved fishing, boating, the Cubs and Bears, taking road trips with Mary, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a kind and loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. Ray made this world a better place and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St, Lombard. His funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Brust Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
Jim will be missed by all who loved him dearly. A wonderful guy, loved by many including his wife, Caroline; his son, David; his brothers and sisters, Tom (Chris), Joan (Bob), Eddy and girlfriend, Jennifer, Frank (Heidi), Mary (Dave); many nieces and nephews; his friends and everyone who knew him.

KEVIN M. UPTON, age 25, of Lombard

Kevin Michael Upton, 24, of Lombard Illinois, passed away July 20 2015 in his sleep. He came into this world September 7 1990 in Downers Grove IL from Beverly Upton and Mark Layton. Kevin lived in Lombard all his life and attended Glenbard East High School. Kevin is survived by his loving siblings Alissa, Ryan, Matthew, Anthony, Mark and Kayla; Proud grandparents Huey, Esther, James and Juanita; Loving nephew of Herb, Michael, Martha, Terry; Dearing cousins Keith, Dominic, Leticia, Terry Lee, Jimmy, Sirous and Tina. He was the most selfless person we’ve met. He touched everyone’s heart that he had contact with, and always made the most of everything. There was never a dull moment and always got a laugh out of you. He loved his adventures to Mexico, enjoyed sunbathing in the pool and putting on firework shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family. If you wish to send flowers the will be a memorial service on Saturday July 25 at Brust Funeral Home in Lombard Illinois, 60148 from 1p.m- 4p.m.

GEORGENE M. DAVIDSON, age 88, of Lombard

DavidsonGeorgene M. Davidson, age 88 of Lombard, passed away Wednesday July 22. Services will be held at Brust Funeral Home on Sunday July 26, 2015 from 2 pm until 7 pm. The Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 am Monday July 27, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Lombard. A luncheon will be served in Parlor following the Memorial Service.
Georgene was born September 12, 1926 in Oak Park Ill. Daughter of George and Judith Marvinac. She married Richard V. Davidson Jr. May 10, 1947. The family moved to Lombard in 1959 and joined The First United Methodist Church. In 1964 she became a member of The United Methodist Women, through this organization she met and established lifelong friendships with whom she cherished. The women of this organization worked tirelessly at Rummage Sales, Craft Shows, Diners, Funeral Luncheons, Wedding Receptions, Soup nights, and many other events at the church. She was well known for making dozens of Bread-N-Butter pickles from her own kitchen for the Craft Show each year. She taught Sunday School and worked at the food panty in its early years. For many years she assisted the custodians with keeping the church tidy and organized. She volunteered at the Lombard Historical Society.
Georgene was the beloved wife of the late Richard V. Davidson. Loving mother of the late John B. Davidson, Jill E. Davidson and grandson Nicholas W. Brown. Survived by; daughter Kristin G. Davidson and son James V. Davidson (Judith). Grandmother of Rebecca E. Brown (Jacob Giblin), Courtney J. Brown, Genevieve R. Werhane (Joseph), Ian V. Davidson. Great Grandmother of Haylee K. Steineke, Brinley R. Werhane, Oliva A. and Noah R. Giblin. Fond sister of George and Wayne (Patricia) Marvinac.

GasparottoPAULA S. GASPAROTTO, nee Hayden, age 57, of Lombard, died July 20 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 26, from 2 to 4 pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 4 pm,  at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
A Private Family burial service will be held Monday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Paula is survived by her husband, John; her children, Christopher of Lombard, Melissa of New York, and Siobhan G. of Villa Park; her mother, Rita Hayden of Villa Park; her sister, Carla Hayden of Evanston; her brother, Richard Hayden of Lombard; and her mother-in-law, Irene Gasparotto of Addison.

Paula was a resident of Lombard for 2 years. She was formerly of Addison and Villa Park and had been a resident of DuPage County since 1970. She was a former member of Episcopal Church of St. Benedict in Bolingbrook.

Mrs. Gerzan is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Don) Carroll of Glen Ellyn; her son, Ralph of Carol Stream, her daughter-in-law, Sharon Gerzan of Kentucky; her seven grandchildren: Scott (Karyn) Carroll of Plainfield, Erik (Ali) Carroll of Arizona, Karl Gerzan of Winfield, Kim, Keith and Kristy Gerzan of Kentucky and Kelly (Jason) Gerzan Culver of South Carolina; eight great grandchildren and her niece, Shirley Malina of Indiana.

Mrs. Gerzan is preceded in death by her husband, Karl P.; her son, David ( her brother, sister, step-brother, and step-sister).

Mrs. Gerzan grew-up in Palos Park. She moved to Lombard in 1937 and lived here for 78 years. She had worked for the State Bank of Lombard in the vault box department. Mrs. Gerzan was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the Ladies Aid.

FLORENCE FASS, age 95, long-time resident of Lombard

FassFlorence Fass, age 95, a long time resident of Lombard Illinois passed away peacefully on Saturday July 18, 2015 at Lexington Square Health Center in Lombard. The daughter of the late Albert and Martha Rathke, she was born on March 31, 1920 in Forest Park Illinois. On September 20, 1941, Florence married Carl Fass and lived in Forest Park until their move to Lombard in 1956. Florence was a long time active member at St. John Lutheran Church in Lombard and was a charter member and past president of the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. Florence also served on the Board of Stewardship and Finance and for years volunteered countless hours teaching Bible Study classes to residents of the Deicke Home in Lombard. She deeply loved her family, enjoyed exercise and swimming as part of the Heart and Soul program at Lexington Square, and lived her faith daily in service to others and worship. Her husband of 62 years, Carl, and her sister Eleanor Kropel preceded her in death. Florence is survived by her sons Philip (Gail) and Larry (Linda) Fass, 5 grandchildren: Heather (Scott) Geisler, Heidi (Donald) Renner, Holly (Keith) Cleghorn, Melissa (Chris) Minelli, and Jason Fass. Florence is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. The funeral will take place at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday July 24, 2015. A visitation from 9:00 until 10:30 A.M. at the church will proceed the funeral service scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Burial will be at Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside. A luncheon will follow at St. John in Lombard. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John Lutheran Church and School in Lombard.

Daniel Edward Mahal, age 52, of Lombard

MaharDaniel Edward Mahal, age 52, of Lombard died July 17, 2015.
A Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St, Lombard. Daniels’s Memorial Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St, Lombard.
Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Miranda and Janah; his mother, Virginia; and his two brothers, Rick and Steve.
Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Adriene.
Daniel lived life to the fullest and helped others with his contagious optimism. He valued his family above all. Daniel added to it when he married the love of his life, Adriene and had two daughters, Miranda and Janah. Now he is reunited with Adriene in Heaven.

Francis Fencl, age 58, of Lombard, passed away July 11 at his home.

Mr. Fenci is survived by his wife, Kari nee Haffer; his two children, Robert of Glendale Heights and Michael of Lombard; and his mother-in-law, Carrie Schutta of Stickney.
Mr. Fencl was a resident of Lombard for 32 years. He was a former owner of A/O Car Tech.

Mrs. Treasurer is survived by her husband, Bill J.; three children, Jeanne of Pennsylvania, Paul (Julie) of Georgia, and Laura (Zach) Berkley of Moline; four grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Liam, and James; four brothers and sisters, Michael (Dana) Wilhelm, Nancy Hight, John (Genie) Wilhelm, and Joseph (Mary) Wilhelm; her brother-in-law, Bob (Brenda) of Willowbrook; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Henry) Erbach of Elmhurst.
Mrs. Treasurer is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and June Wilhelm.

Mrs. Treasurer was a resident of Lombard 40 years. She grew up in Milwaukee and St. Louis and graduated High School in St. Louis. Mrs. Treasurer was a graduate of the Missouri School of Mines with a BS in Chemistry. She had worked for District 88 for 19 years and retired 5 years ago. Mrs. Treasurer was a former member of the Lombard Jr. Woman’s Club. She was an avid Bridge player, gardener, and cook. Mrs. Treasurer had been active at Sacred Heart Church.
