Jerrold A. Joelson, aka Jerry- Al, a resident of Lombard, formerly of Elk Grove Village, passed away on July 9, 2015 at Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights.

He was born on June 4, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio and lived in Cicero, Elk Grove Village and most recently Lombard. Beloved husband of the late Grace nee Ashford and the late Barbara nee Shure. Loving father of Martin, Daniel, Helene (Charles) Olsen, Craig (Dianne) Becker, and Steven. Cherished grandfather of 5. Great-grandfather of 1. Dearest brother of Philip (Doreen). Uncle and great-uncle of many. Beloved friend of Frank and Geraldine Cvach and adopted uncle to the entire Cvach family.

Jerrold was a member of the Army Air Corps. He had a remarkable work ethic and tried many different ventures (flooring, drive inns, a café) before settling on his love of the carpet industry, where he worked in many different capacities until his retirement. Jerry was an exceptionally generous man who lived his life with strong values. He loved to joke with people and share his knowledge and experiences with everyone. He was a collector of just about anything and everything. Jerry lived to go shopping and could hunt down a good deal on any given day. He loved his coffee, a rare steak, good seafood, and Jewish cuisine. Jerry also loved his Corvettes and to spoil any pet he came across. He never met a child he didn’t like. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 pm until time of funeral service at 7:30 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St, Lombard. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 pm – 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St, Lombard. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at Brust Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mrs. Schmidke is survived by her loving children, Deborah (James) Junta of Wheaton and Pamela Schraag of Villa Park; her cherished grandchildren, Terry(Krista) of Bartlett, Jamie (Jared) Shamblin of Plainfield, Katherine (Jon) Fox of CA, Jacqueline Junta of FLA, Anthony Junta of Wheaton; her dear great-grandchildren, Eli , Eddie, and Savannah; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Schmidke was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edmund.

Mrs. Schmidke graduated from high school in Chicago. She was a resident of Lombard for 63 years. Mrs. Schmidke worked for Merl Drugs. She was a former member of VFW #5815 Auxilliary. Mrs. Schmidke was a member Sacred Heart Church in Lombard.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 pm to 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. His funeral service will be Monday, at 10 am at Brust Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.

Mr. Samsuri is survived by his wife, Vasilika nee Kota; his children: Ilia (Loreta) of Lombard and Alma (Roland) Thomallari of Glen Ellyn; his three grandchildren, his brother, Vanjgen of Lombard and many other relatives.

Mr. Samsuri was a resident of Lombard for the past 16 years. He was a retired banker from Albania.

Mrs. Schwalb was a former member of CCW at Sacred Heart and the Garden Club in Lombard. She worked for Sears and retired from there after many years.

This is one tough, courageous, spunky lady who had a zest for life and loved to laugh with all. Betty is survived by her husband, Bill; her ten children, Kathy (Jim) Lopez of Carol Stream, Tom (Lori) of Burbank, CA, Patty (Terry) Boksha of Addison, John of Bartlett, Dianne of Palatine, Steve (Cherisse) of Glendale Heights, Joe (Kristin) of Oswego, Geri (Monte) Wierman of Elmhurst, Jackie (Bruce) Alexander of Winfield, and Robert of CO; grandmother of 24 and great-grandmother of 8.

Betty and Bill loved to dance. She enjoyed a challenge, whether it was golfing or a good bridge game and gardening. Betty had a wide span of interests, from the Bowling League, Lombard Women’s Club, volunteering at Elmhurst Hospital.
She touched the hearts of many, whether they were family or friends, all were welcomed by her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Her funeral service will be Friday, with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Christ the King Church for 10 AM Mass. Interment will be at a later date at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood.

Mrs. Brust is survived by her children, Robert (Aida) Bonneau of Indiana, Marguerite (Frank Marcinkowski) of Palos Heights and O’Tillia Brust of Naperville; her son-in-law, Carl Stone; her step-children, Georgian (Tony) Talerico of Arizona, Gail (Gerry) Saternus of Orland Park, her daughter-in-law, Mary Brust of Stickney; grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Mrs. Brust is preceded in death by her husband, George; three children, Thomas Bonneau, Patricia Stone of Wisconsin and Richard Bonneau; four step-children, Eve Gaynor, Mickey Brust, John, and the late George Jr., her son-in law, Dennis Brust; and two brothers.

Mrs. Brust was born in Chicago and grew up in Wisconsin. She lived in Broadview for 25 years. Mrs. Brust resided in Lombard from 1998 until 2009. She was a former member of St. Eulalia in Maywood and Christ the King in Lombard.
