OstdiekLYNDA OSTDIEK, nee Palesch, age 65, of Villa Park, died suddenly August 28 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois. Loving wife of Tom. Dearest mother of Sarah (Brian) Blaszczyk of Chicago and Dr. Allison Ostdiek of Chicago. Dearest daughter of William Palesch of Elmhurst and Dolores Palesch of Raddison, Wisconsin. Dearest sister of Denise Palesch of Maryland, Jean (Michael) Krause of Lombard, Daniel Palesch of Plainfield, William (Ree) of Dundee, Ellen (Greg) Chadaranek of Lyons, and John (Kim) Palesch of Kankakee. Many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of John (Mary) Ostdiek of Minnesota, and Rob (Kris) Ostdiek of Minnesota.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 31 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, September 1 with Mrs. Ostdiek Lying-In-State from 9:00 AM to time of Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park, Illinois.
Interment Private.

Mrs. Ostdiek grew-up in Elmhurst and was a 1968 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst. She was a 1972 graduate of Lewis University in Joliet. Mrs. Ostdiek was a Special Education Aide for School District 45 for over 20 years and was currently working at York Center School. Mrs. Ostdiek was a resident of Villa Park for 34 years.

Lillian King nee Frederick, age 87, of Lombard, passed away August 22 at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago.

Mrs. King is survived by her three children, Nancy (Robert) Skrok of Florida, Marilyn (James) Jasien of Lombard and Michael Severinchek of Arizona; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. King is preceded in death by her husbands, the late John Severinchek and the late John King; and her grandson, John Michael Severinchek.

Mrs. King grew up in Chicago. She lived in Northlake and Melrose Park for over 40 years. Mrs. King was a former member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Mueller is survived by 3 children, Erich (Stephanie) of Lombard, Jennifer (Matthew) Maniurka of Spring Grove and Melissa (Chris Wesseler) Mueller of Bartlett; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa Maniurka of Spring Grove, Veronica Mueller of Lombard, Preston Wesseler of Bartlett and Livia Mueller of Lombard; her mother, Betty Ryan of Lombard; and 2 brothers, Timothy (Marilyn) Ryan of Michigan and Patrick Ryan of Huntley. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 34 years, Daniel and her father John Ryan.

Mrs. Mueller had lived the past 3 years in Glendale Heights and was a previous resident of Rolling Meadows for 22 years. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Mundelein College. She was active in the Girl Scouts as a Council Member and was an awesome grandmother.

Irene Frances O’Connor nee Rosinski, age 97

O'ConnorIrene Frances O’Connor nee Rosinski, age 97, originally from the west side of Chicago, passed away August 20 at Provena Pineview Care Center.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Her funeral service will be Friday with 9:30 AM prayers from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church, 114 Elizabeth, Lombard, for 10 AM Mass. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.

Mrs.  O’Connor is survived by her children, Terry (Joan) of Huntley, Mary Conrad of Glen Ellyn, Lynn Catherine Reichling of Wheaton, Kathleen (John) Bosh of Elgin, John B. (Ann) of Chicago, Kimberly Ann (Andy) Flad of St. Charles, and Martin (Michelle) of Crystal Lake; 29 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives.

Mrs. O’Connor is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bernard Francis O’Connor; her son-in-law, Edwin Conrad; three grandchildren, Todd Conrad, Beth Davies, Dustin Fico; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. O’Connor lived in Lombard from 1959 until 1992. She then resided in Glen Ellyn from 1992 until 2012 and in Batavia these past 3 years. Mrs. O’Connor worked for many years as a secretary at the Sacred Heart Rectory and was active in church there. She was a former member of the Sacred Heart Choir. Mrs. O’Connor was a former member of St. Pius X Church in Lombard and St. Petronille Church in Glen Ellyn.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.

Mrs. Ziemke is survived by her daughter, Jean (Ron) Casper of LaGrange; her son, Bruno (Jan) DeLeon of Ohio; two grandchildren, Andrew (Mandie) Casper of Downers Grove, and Erik Casper of Riverside; her great-grandson, Jack Casper of Downers Grove; and her dearest cousin, Paulette (Jerry) Peesemeester of Mundelein.
Mrs. Ziemke is preceded in death by her husband, John ‘Jack’.

Mrs. Ziemke was a resident of Glen Ellyn 31 years. She was a graduate of Alvernia Catholic High School in Chicago. Mrs. Ziemke had been married for 58 years.

Mrs. Klewitz is survived by her nephew, Frank (Nancy) Grabenhofer of Wheaton; and her niece, Theresa Hays of Lombard.
Mrs. Klewitz is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her son, James A. Klewitz; her sister, Theresa Grabenhofer of Lombard; and her brother, John Klewitz.

Mrs. Klewitz grew-up in Chicago and was a graduate of Tillman High School. She was a resident of Lombard from the 1940’s into the 1960’s and was a resident of Addison from 1960’s to the present. Mrs. Klewitz had retired from the Chicago Sun-Times Newspaper. Mrs. Klewitz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park.

Kay was a 1972 graduate of Glenbard East High School and a graduate of Lombard Jr. High School. Kay was a graduate of North Central College.
From 1981 to 1985, she had lived in Spain for 4 years where she studied Spanish. She later worked as a Salesperson for O.A.G. selling in Central and South America.

Kay had worked for Brust Funeral Home in Lombard for 19 years.

Kay was a former member of the Up With People singing group and the “Swinging Set” Glen Ellyn Golf League. She was a former member of the Glass Court Racquetball Leagues.

Kay was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Lombard and a current member of Oak Brook Christian Church.
She had been a former member of “Moms in Touch” and active in parent activities at St. John’s Lutheran School in Lombard. She was a former member of the Glenbard East Athletic Boosters.

Kay’s brilliant smile and sparkling eyes were windows to the vivacious and full of life lady she was who always made friends wherever she went. She loved socializing with her many friends whether it was over lunch, playing cards, or phone calls. Kay was an avid traveler as well.

VIRGINIA ‘GINNY’ LOTZ, nee Carr, age 95, of Lombard, died August 4 at her home.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 14 with Mrs. Lotz Lying-In-State from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 105 West Maple, Lombard.
Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Mrs. Lotz is survived by her daughter, Sally S. (Lee) McClure of Glen Ellyn; her son, Ralph; six (6) grandchildren, Tammy (Gary) Wilczak of Aurora, Michelle (Christopher) Mueller of Oswego, Laura Chesney of Woodridge, Shannon (Blake) Parsons of Florida, Leah (Inaki) Nuarte of Arizona, and Paul (Lauren) Lotz of McHenry; seven (7) great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Marsha Michel.
Mrs. Lots is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W.; her daughter-in-law, Francesca Lotz; and two brothers.

Mrs. Lotz was a resident of Lombard since 1948. She was a longtime member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Lombard and a Member of the ECW (Episcopal Church Women. Mrs. Lotz was a graduate of Senn High School in Chicago. She had retired in 1986 as a Claims Adjuster for Traveler’s Insurance Company.
