William “Billy” Sladek, age 35, of Lombard

Thursday, May 26th, 2016

Sladek-WilliamOn May 23rd, 2016 the world became a slightly saner, yet much sadder place, as William “Billy” Sladek passed away. His absence, and his silence, will be felt for the remainder of the lives of his friends and family. We will miss his stories, and his rambling, heartfelt phone calls. We will miss his exaggerations and his B.S.! But most of all, we will miss his companionship, his steadiness, and the knowledge that he was always there ready to help and  love us with never anything asked in return. The world truly lost a legend this Monday, a man who lived larger than life; and we are all poorer for it.   Heaven, on the other hand, better be ready for a wild ride.

Billy is survived by his mom, Cynthia Stemmer; his dad, Franklin (Ina) Sladek; a brother, Franklin Sladek, Jr.; 3 sisters, Christina Sladek, Colleen (Tom) Pott and Lucinda Sladek; his grandpa and grandma, Bobby Ray and Linda Jones; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
