
Robert Thomas Gudgeon, 82, of Delevan, Wisconsin, passed away on September 14, 2016.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1934, in Hammond, IN to William and Mary Gudgeon. He married Carole Smith on Sept. 8th, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away on May 12th, 2000.
Robert (Bob) is survived by two children, Anne (Michael) Hughes of Lombard, IL and Thomas (Patricia) Gudgeon of Fort Worth, TX; and special niece, Linda (Bryan) Mayda. He had nine grandchildren; Nick (Erin Godby) Souvign, Erinne (Mel) Wittman, Carrie (Andrew) Hudziak, Shannon (Adam Barrs) Gudgeon, Lee (Ashley) Gudgeon, Melissa (Bill) Hartman, Greg (Colleen) States, Jessica Mayda, and Conner W. Gudgeon (deceased). He also had eleven great grandchildren; Katelyn, Ella, and Aiden Wood, Brock and Addison Wittman, Aubrey and Ava Ayres, Dylan and Cassidy Hartman, Natalie States, and Conner Gudgeon. Robert is also survived by one brother Bill Gudgeon, and one sister Peggy Finlayson and one sister-in-law, Evelyn “Tootie” Gudgeon.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Gudgeon.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard. Per a final request from Bob, the visitation will be business casual. “Do not need to wear a tie and jacket just to say good-bye”.
Funeral will be Friday, September 23 with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home then to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, for 10:00 AM Mass. It is requested that it be funeral attire for prayers and Mass.
Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL, following the Mass.
