Martin A. Kerr, age 67, of Lombard, died July 28, 2018 at his home.

Martin was the beloved husband of the late Nancy L. nee Lytle; father of Martin A.  Kerr, Jr., and James R. (Lisa) Kerr; grandfather of Ceally, Emma, Natalie, Melanie, Jim and Luke; great-grandfather of Xandria and Bodhi; brother of the late Mary Jane (Richard) Borak; brother-in-law of James (Rita) Lytle, Thomas Lytle, Michael (Janelle) Lytle and the late Mary Ann Lytle; uncle and great-uncle.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3, with a visitation from 9:00 AM until time of prayers at 10:30 AM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.  Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard.  Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.

Mr. Serna was the beloved husband of Lydia nee Ybanez; loving father of Christopher (Deborah), Deborah (Erik) Ekstrom, Margarita (William) Buckley and Mario; cherished grandpa of Victoria, Katie, Christopher, Caitlin, Nikolei and Michael; great-grandfather of Leo, Chase, Bailey, Noah, Dante, Benjamin; dearest brother of Margarita (the late Agustin) Rubio, Gloria (the late Oscar) Castillon, Teresa (Angel) Torres, Antonia (Pablo) Dominguez, Fermin (Rosario) Serna and the late Benito (Lourdes) Serna; uncle and great-uncle of many.

Marie Trepanier, age 89, of Lombard

TrepanierMarie Trepanier, age 89, of Lombard, died July 26 at her home.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard; her 3 children, Linda, Rick and Kathy Anderson; two grandsons, Bill Anderson and Tim Anderson; 4 brothers, Bob (Marlene) Thilges, Don Thilges, John Thilges and Ray Thilges; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Carol Thilges.

Marie, with her husband Richard, owned and operated R-M Industry for 50 years in Addison.   She was an avid life-long Cubs fan and she loved to sing.

Carl H. Keller, age 75

The story began January 21, 1943 born to the parents Henry and Marie Keller of Forest Park, Illinois.  Later Carl would have two siblings, the late Jean Keller Flando and Carol Keller of Westchester.  There were many other relatives as well.

He lived in Forest Park and went to Proviso East High School graduating in 1961 and 2 years of Junior College in Chicago.

Carl met Mary E. Brust in 1961 – their Senior year of High School – and they married on June 5, 1965.

Carl had the most wonderful friends from Grammar School – over 60 years of friendship – very rare.  Bill and Claire, Al and Vera, Joe and Cookie are among those rare friends and other best friends include Bonnie and Tony and Chuck and Marylou.

Carl and Mary had two children, Michael Keller of Romeoville and Tracy Aultman of Bolingbrook.

They went on to have 6 grandchildren: Daniel (fiancé, Lisa), Eric (Rachel), Ryan, Samantha, Nicholas and Tommy; and 4 great-grandchildren, Layne, Nicholas, Lucas, and Valerie.

Carl was an avid golfer and had 5 Holes in One.  He had a number of golf buddies.

He worked in the printing industry his whole life; owned Cooperative Publishing Company, Data Book Services and had retired in 2002.

We could not have asked for a more wonderful Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 23rd from 10 AM to time of Service at 12 Noon at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Ida J. Stigman, age 92, of Rockford

Ida J. Stigman, age 92, of Rockford, died July 14, 2018.

All services are private.

Ida is survived by her children, Holly (Stigman) Carner (James)-WI and Nancy Stigman-Edwards (Charles), Lombard,  IL; her grandchildren, Diane (Balluff) Aubuchon-AZ, James Pat Carner-WI, Laura L Edwards-Lombard, IL; her great-grandchildren, Brandy Seifert – WI and Marcos Gutierrez – AZ.  Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell E. Stigman (Windy).

Ida was born in Belvidere.  IL on May 1, 1926.  She lived in Belvidere,  Chicago and Rockford, IL and graduated from West High School in Rockford.  Ida married Wendell E Stigman (Windy) August 5, 1945.

She was a life member and past president of VFW Auxiliary, Belvidere,  Illinois post 1461. She also served as past district president.

James A. Younger, age 82, of Villa Park

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, from 3-8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 20, with 9:15 AM prayers to 10 AM Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1S314 Summit, Oak Brook Terrace.  Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

James was the beloved father of Carol A. (John) Knopf of Villa Park; grandfather of Charles (Rosemarie) Janousek of Braidwood, IL and Michelle C. Janousek of Villa Park; great-grandfather of Brandon M. Barton, Nathan J. Dodmead, Halas Janousek and Savannah E. Koch; dear brother of Margaret L. Younger of Villa Park and the late Mary, the late Donald, the late Barbara, the late Robert and the late Richard; fond uncle of 3; and many other relatives.

James grew up in Lombard and lived there until he moved to Villa Park in 1985.  He attended and graduated from York High School.  He attended Sacred Heart Grade School.

James was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958 on the USS Oriskany.  He served in the USNR from 1958-1962.   He was a member of the Glendale Heights VFW, American Legion, L.O.O.M. Lodge-Lombard and the Eagles Club.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18th, from 3 – 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Private committal will be on Monday, July 23rd at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Margaret (Jerry) Lange of Lombard, Joseph (Vincenza) of Bartlett, and Patrick of Chicago; her cherished grandchildren, Olivia, James, and Nicholas; her dear siblings, Henry Hudson of Wisconsin, Charlie (Arlene) Hudson of Elmhurst, John Hudson of Wisconsin, Judi Wasilk of Wisconsin, Roger of Wisconsin, Sharon (Joe) Zizzo of Woodstock and Janice Lundsford of Florida; many other relatives.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James R., and her siblings, William, Margaret, Frank and Marie.

Mary was a resident of Lombard for 42 years. She was a Branch Manager for West Suburban Bank. Mary enjoyed visiting Las Vegas. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with family.

Judi is survived by her loving daughter, Natalie (Corey Coddington) Shasteen of Lees Summit, Missouri; her cherished grandchildren, Camila, Liam, Caleb and Autumn; her beloved mother, Diane Kern of Lombard; her dear brothers, Norman Jr of Lombard and Michael Kern of Chicago; her loving companion, Ken Fett, of Lombard; her nephew, Michael of Chicago and her niece, Lorraine of Geneva.

Judi is preceded in death by her father, Norman Kern.

Judi was a resident of Lombard for 10 years. She graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago. Judi had worked for both Diamond Envelope Company and Forest Envelope Company. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Lombard L.O.O.M. #2350.

Randy was born in Chicago and graduated from Glenbard South High School.  He was a police officer in Westchester and retired in 2004.  Randy loved riding his motorcycle and traveling.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, with Gwen lying-in-state from 10 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Alexander’s Church, 303 S. Cornell Ave, Villa Park. Gwen is survived by her loving mother, Erin Crilly, of Carol Stream, and her loving father, James Upchurch; her dear brother, Liam Upchurch of Carol Stream; loving grandparents Philip and Christine Crilly of Carol Stream, Jerry Upchurch of Illinois and Kerry Kennelly of Pittsburgh, PA; her fond aunts and uncles Michael (Kristy) Crilly of Carol Stream, Anna (Michael) Burhans of St. Charles, Natalie Underhill, Jerry Upchurch, Jr., Kali Upchurch and Jon Upchurch and her dear cousins Jane Crilly and Lucie Burhans.

Gwen attended DePaul University and Glenbard North High School.  She also graduated from Jay Stream Middle School and Roy DeShane Elementary.

Gwen worked on the campaigns of Senator Bernie Sanders and Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi.  She also interned at Kurtz Law Office in Hinsdale.  She was pursuing a career in Civil Rights law and was an accomplished artist.
