Thomas M. O’Hara, age 77, of Lombard. Beloved husband of 53 years of Joan nee Schorr. Loving father of Thomas W. (Susan) of Bolingbrook, Michael K. (Alyson) of Manchester, Massachusetts, Martin E. (Kristen) of Naperville, Noreen D. (Christopher) Bolsoni of St. Charles, Anne O. (Christopher) McPartlin of Elmhurst. Fond Grandfather of Brittany, Thomas D., Sean USMC, Ethan, Charles, Finnian, Leo, Dean, Maeve, Rowan, Renn. Dear brother of Noreen Bubalo of Chicago, Michael of Des Plaines, Patricia (Buzz) Bocher of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and The Late John and Mary Ellen. Many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 6, from 3 to 9 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Mr. O’Hara was a resident of Lombard since 1971.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he served as an Usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. O’Hara was the Owner of Thomas O’Hara and Associates Insurance Brokerage located in Chicago from 1966 to 1996, then Villa Park from 1996 to 2014, and then Lombard since 2014.

Mr. O’Hara was a 1960 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and also a 1964 graduate of Loyola University.

Mr. O’Hara was a veteran having served in the Illinois National Guard.

Thomas was an internationally famous runner.  He ran at Loyola University.  At the Daily News Relays in Chicago, in 1964, he set the indoor record for the mile at 3 minutes and 56 seconds.  He held that world record for 10 years.  Thomas was in the 1964 Olympics, on the U.S. team, running the 1500 Meters.

Devern Rush, age 97, of Lombard

RushDevern Rush, age 97, of Lombard Il, was called to be with her Lord on August 28, 2019. She was the beloved spouse of the late Gus Rush. She is survived by her son Gerald Rush (Sharon), and daughters Debra Rush-Wade (Michael) of Bloomington IN, Suzette Rush-Drake (Greg), and Carmen Brown. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Marjorie Wickert-Myers and grandson Edward Wickert. She was the proud grandmother of Erica Dollyhigh, Shawna (Yannis) Dimitrelos , Mathew (Lisa) and Nathan Brown, Tamar (Zach) Rubenstein, Rachael Gargir, Catherine (Joe) Wade-Delheimer, Megan and Travis Wade, and eight great-grandchildren.

Born April 7th, 1922, in Preston MS, she moved to Chicago after the war as a bride and homemaker. She was a great women of faith praying daily for all her loved ones both family and friends. She was much loved and touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation Saturday, August 31 at 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard IL. Interment will be on September 7th at the OakGrove Baptist Church, Preston Ms.

EDWARD (ED) A. REGAN, age 47, of Lombard

Regan, EdwardEdward (Ed) A. Regan, age 47, of Lombard, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2019. He was born April 12, 1972 in Elmhurst, IL.

Edward is survived by his loving sisters, Eva (Michael) Marski of Lombard, Judy (Todd) Meier of Oswego and Nancy (Elisabeth Brook) Perman of Massachusetts; his cherished nephews, Colin and Connor Meier of Oswego; his dear cousins, Sharon Graf, Bill (Annelise) Graf, Angeline Stange, Kathy Trawin, Cindy Henriksen and Michael (Melissa) Trawin; Peter, Annette, Heather, Sarah, Trevor, Amber and Spencer; cherished friends, Marty Kolb, Brother Edward, the big guy, Weebles and many more.

Edward is preceded in death by his mother and father, Georgette and James E. Regan.

Edward was raised in Lombard where he graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1990 and later attended the University of Illinois. Despite being visually impaired, he was an avid sports fan and a member of the wrestling team in high school. His favorite teams were the Cubs, Blackhawks and Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed horseracing and tennis. After relocating to Florida for many years, Ed moved back to Lombard in 2017, with his beloved dog, Madison.

Visitation will be at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 from 11 AM to time of Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.  The family encourages you to wear Cubs, Blackhawks, or Georgia Bulldogs attire as these were his favorite teams.

Linda S. Ladd, 66, of Lombard

Linda S. Ladd, 66, passed aLaddway on August 23rd, 2019 comfortably at home surrounded by her loving husband and daughters.

Linda was the beloved wife of James for thirty years, loving mother to Elyse (Pete) and Katie (Joe) and most importantly the adoring grandmother to Nolan her “Little Man.” She was the proud dog mom to her fur-babies Daisy and Dolly.

Linda touched many lives throughout her career as a special education teacher and guidance counselor at Willowbrook High School. Linda enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and traveling with family and friends.

She will be missed and remembered always.

A celebratory memorial will be held Friday, August 30th, from 3-8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Barbara J. Spoo, age 85, of Lombard

spooBarbara J. Spoo, 85, surrounded by her family, passed away after her courageous battle with Alzheimer’s on August 20, 2019 in Lombard, IL.

Barb was a lover of knitting, sewing and visiting National Parks with her husband, Ken. Ken and Barb met during their first year at Valparaiso University in Indiana and were married for 64 years. They raised both of their children Mark and Laura in Hillside and Berkeley Illinois. Barb is survived by her husband, Kenneth, children, Mark (Karen), Laura (Glenn) and 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Max and Jessie (Cody).

A visitation is scheduled for 9:30  AM on August 27 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard, IL with a church service following at 10:30 AM. The family will then proceed to Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oak Brook Terrace, Il for an interment service.

William (Bill) H. Seymore, age 71, of Lombard

Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, from 4-8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral service Friday, August 23 at noon at Brust Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst.

William is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn of 46 years, younger brother Lance, his loving children Dan (Kerri), Jason (Amanda) & Mike (Janeane), his seven Grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, Jacob, Matthew, Zach, Luke, Brooke, his niece Hannah and nephew Zach.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Vera Seymore and his sister Kathy.

William (Bill) Seymore was born January 31, 1948 in Berwyn, IL and grew up in Naperville. He proudly served in the US Army and did a tour in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. In 1971 he married the love of his life Marilyn Baehr of Lombard IL.

Between 1973 -1976 they had three sons. In 1976 he started his career as a heavy equipment mechanic with Bracing Systems for 33 years. William enjoyed vacations and spending time with his family and friends. He loved going fishing with his grandchildren. His grandchildren were the love of his life and was very proud of each one and all their accomplishments.

Richard (Rick) G. LeBreux, age 62

Richard (Rick) G. LeBreux, age 62, died August 12, 2019.

Rick was the beloved son of the late E. George LeBreux and Margaret (nee Gates); loving brother of Barbara (James) Novak and Carol (Mike) Ely; loving father of Jaime (Rich) Juda, and Jason; loving father of Ryan, Gregory, and Adam (children of marriage with Denise, nee Ganas, former spouse); loving grandfather of eight, uncle, and cousin.

Rick was an interesting person to know; he had an unusual outlook on things, and his observations reflected his unique and creative line of thought.  He was a freelance contractor and owner of several businesses.  His sense of humor was droll.  Rick was generous, with a heart of gold, and will be remembered as a very caring person.  He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Carol is survived by her dear sister-in-law Diane Carlson of Wheaton, IL, and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by seven sisters and brothers, Irene (Jeremiah) Cruickshank, Florence (Clayton) Brownell, Walter Carlson, Harold Carlson, John (Diane) Carlson, Dorothy (John) Meyers, Carl Carlson and her parents Carl and Elizabeth (Carlstrom) Carlson; also many cousins and friends.

Carol was born in the family home in Lombard. She was a graduate of Glenbard High School, Glen Ellyn, Class of 1953.  Carol was a secretary with the U.S. Government Department of Housing and Urban Development in Chicago for over 30 years.  She was a member of Lombard Bible Church where she taught 2 and 3 year olds in Sunday School.  She was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.

Main St., Lombard.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 22, with Mr. Burzynski Lying-In-State from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 AM at Oak Brook Community Church, 3100 Midwest Road, Oak Brook.  Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery, 1209 Warrenville Road, Wheaton.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Holly A. nee Kolls; his loving children, Stacie Anne (James) Wimberly of Romeoville, Valerie Robyn Burzynski of Madison; his cherished grandchild, Sharon Wimberly of Romeoville; and his dear in-laws, Robert and Betty Kolls of Lombard. Many other relatives and friends.

Dale is preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria J. Burzynski and his brothers, James and Carl.

Dale grew up in Elmhurst and attended York High School. He lived in the Lombard/Elmhurst area all of his life, as well as Villa Park for the past 5 years. Dale was the owner of Lion Welding in Addison. He was a member of the Oak Brook Community Church.
