Mary Ann Gomez (nee Jozwick), age 81, a resident of Lombard for 53 years, passed away October 26, 2018.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 29th from 3- 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 30th, with prayers at 9:15 AM from Brust Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church, 1025 E. Madison St, Lombard, for 10 AM Mass. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years of marriage, Edward Gomez, her Mother, Frances Jozwick, Father, Harry Jozwick, and her Brother, Donald Jozwick.

Mary Ann is survived by her beloved children, Kathryn (Russell) Gallemore, Lisa Petruzzi, Donald E. Gomez; her cherished grandchildren, Leigh Anne (Joseph) Espinosa, Kaitlyn (Kenneth) Skinn, Nicholas Petruzzi, and Michael Petruzzi, and her loving, great-grandchildren, Kailie, Reese, and Zoe Espinosa, and Caleb Skinn.

Mary Ann was a caring, loving, generous, kind, sweet, compassionate, beautiful soul.  She was a strong woman who spent much of her life providing care for family, friends, and neighbors who were ill, because she had a big heart and loved helping others. She was an amazing Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Mema.  A great cook, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor.  She loved spending her time with family, holiday get-togethers, luncheons and shopping with friends.  Mary Ann was loved by all that knew her.

She loved facebook.  It allowed her to keep in touch with family and friends, local and out of state, and share the joys of their lives through photos and comments.  We will all miss her “likes” and sweet, sharp on-point comments.  And if you ever had a chance to play her in Words with Friends, she was a worthy opponent!

Mary Ann was adored by her children, family, and friends.  Her eulogy is the outpouring of love her family has heard from all of you.  “Nicest, sweetest, warmest person I have ever known.”  Mary Ann will be greatly missed by many.
Mom, you taught us many things, most importantly how to love others, show kindness and empathy to all.  We Love you, Kathy, Lisa, and Don  XOXO

Stunned to hear this. I was fortunate to contact her after 50 years and had some time to converse with my cousin. I would have made the funeral but just found out now. I guess I will see her on the other side. Her cousin from the North, Pete
