Laurie Connelly, age 67, of West Chicago

connellyIt is with great sadness that we announce that Laurie Connelly, age 67, lost her battle to pancreatic cancer. Laurie passed away quietly in her sleep Sunday morning. Laurie was born September 12th 1951 to the late Lester and Natalie Landau. Laurie had one sibling Allen.

Laurie is survived by her husband Dennis Connelly. In November they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they had four boys Chuck, Tom, James, and Scott. Tom their second oldest child unfortunately, passed away four years prior to the same disease as Laurie.

Laurie was the proud grandmother of nine grandkids Amber, Amanda, Dylan, Jordan, Brian, Stephanie, Wade, Ethan, and Cora, and a great grandma to Alivia and Clayton. And in June, Laurie will have her third great grandchild.

Laurie was a homemaker and a part time waitress for most of her adult life, until her mother Natalie took ill. Laurie was Natalie’s care taker till her passing. Afterwards the neighbor’s son asked her to take care of his mother. Since then Laurie took care of several other women in their late stages of their life, until Laurie herself fell ill to pancreatic cancer.

Visitation for Laurie will be held on Thursday at 9am until the time of s her funeral service at 11 AM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S Main St, Lombard, IL 60148. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion at 570 S Gary Ave, Carol Stream, IL 60188.

  1. Laurie this message is for you. Your passing was way to quick I wish you had more time here with your family. Laurie I know it has been many years between us but I am glad we were able to get in contact the last few years. we have many memories thru the years and I choose to remember the good ones. for the family will really miss you but will carry you in their hearts till you all meet again. Watch over them and keep them safe that’s what angels do and I am sure you are one. God bless you and your family. As for the family my heart goes out to you all I do know the pain of loss of some one so dear to you I wish you all comfort and peace knowing she is out of pain and with the rest of the family making way for u all to follow take care and God bless you all
