Lee  dedicated her life to nursing and caring for others. She spent over three decades  as a registered nurse and board certified addictions counselor at Columbus Hospital, Cuneo Hospital, and at the Women’s Chemical Dependency Program.

Lee was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and was thrilled with their 2016 World Series Championship. She also loved the Chicago Bears-and maybe a little too much. You see she unfortunately had a gambling problem. She would bet 25 cents on the Bears each week no matter the odds. Even though the  Bears lost the majority of the time. She kept the faith.

Lee aka Grandma Dude ( a name she got when her grandson Timmy pointed at her sunglasses that had the name Dude on them);  was dedicated to her family. She loved all of her grandchildren and supported each of them.

Lee was  also very patriotic! She was always very moved by the annual Memorial Day concert at the nation’s capital. Among her numerous charities were : The Wounded Warrior Project, Paralyzed  veterans of America, and adopt a platoon to name a few.

Every morning Lee would spend time in prayer. She would take the time to name each person she was praying for. Her favorite saint was Saint Jude the Saint of impossible cases. She invoked him often with special intentions.

All in all, Lee lived a full life with God, family,  friends, nursing and fun as her priorities.
