Graciela Medina, age 72

Written by Brust Funeral Home on November 19th, 2019

MedinaGraciela Medina was called home on November 14, 2019. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Graciela was born to Ezequiel and Socorro in Mexico, in 1947 and was the oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. Graciela (Chela), is survived by her beloved husband Antonio. Loving mother of Eduardo (Diana), Gerardo (Marisela) and Daniel (Jennifer). Dearest grandmother; cherished sister, aunt and friend of many.

Graciela will always be admired for her life’s hard work and coming to the U.S. with Antonio with only a suitcase and a dream and leaving behind a legacy. She was known for always lending a hand to those in need. She enjoyed the simple life of raising her sons to admiral men. Once her sons flourished, a newfound love was acknowledged for her and her grandchildren. She instilled the importance of family and often showed examples by highly speaking of and helping her family in Mexico. She loved her family gatherings, as she liked to quietly sit and observe everyone having a great time and to her, that was a gift. Her kind, lovable and sometimes stern personality will forever be remembered.

Visitations will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 3pm to 9pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 with a 10am Mass at St. Joseph’s Church 330 E. Fullerton Ave, Addison.

Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
