Jack E. Rudyk, age 71, of Lombard since 1983, passed away July 15, 2020.

Family Services will be private.

Jack was the beloved husband of Cris nee Shephard; loving father of Brady Hansen of St. Charles, Mikie (Brian) Kudelas of Carol Stream; fond grandfather of Addie, Peyton, and Paisley; dear brother of Nancy (Dominic) DiPaolo of Bartlett; son-in-law of JoAnne (Myron) Thornburg of Indiana. Many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jack grew up in Chicago and graduated from Lane Tech. He was a member of Sheet Metals Local #73. In these last years, Jack worked for the union teaching this trade. He helped at Glenbard East when his daughters played softball. Jack made the bench for the dugout there. He loved to travel to beaches.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611, is appreciated.

    To the Rudyk family,
    Jack was a wonderful person. I am so lucky to have known him and had him help me as a young coach. He was very often my saving grace in the dugout. Brady and Mikie, I am so sorry for your loss. Jack was such an important person in my development as a coach. It was absolutely wonderful to get to know him.

    Just read about his passing in the SheetMetal newsletter. Darlene & I knew Jack from the Hustlers ski club and enjoyed many great times with Jack. So sorry for your loss.
