LESLIE E. BAHNFLETH, age 75, of Lombard, died September 2 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6 from 3 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 7 with Mr. Bahnfleth Lying-In-State from 10 AM until the time of Service at 11 AM at St. John’s Ev Lutheran Church, 215 South Lincoln, Lombard.

Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.

Mr. Bahnfleth is survived by two sons, Mark (Carolina) of West Chicago, and Greg (Kelly) of Crystal Lake; six grandchildren, Emily, Harry, Lily, Camile, Samuel, Charlene; his in-laws, Harold and Audrey Jahnke of McHenry; and 3 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bahnfleth is preceded in death by his wife, Gail A., nee Jahnke; and his grandson, Ian.

Mr. Bahnfleth was a resident of Lombard since 1965.  He was a 1954 graduate of Lane Tech High School.  Mr. Bahnfleth was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962.  He had retired from Jewel Food Stores in 1995.  He had worked in Corporate Communications for more than 30 years.  Mr. Bahnfleth was former PTL member at St. John’s School.  He was a member of the Booster Club at Walther Luther High School.  He was a former Elder and Usher at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.  Mr. Bahnfleth had been a member of W.O.W. since his wife’s passing.
