JOHN A. PAGONIS, age 66, Vietnam Veteran and Life-Long resident of Lombard died May 10.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 14 from 2 to 8 PM at Community Presbyterian Church, 1111 East Madison, Lombard. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11 AM at the Church. Interment Private at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
Mr. Pagonis is survived by his wife, Linda, nee Swanson; his children, Jennifer N. (Thomas F.) Martin of Aurora, Melissa A. (Rick C.) Alejandro of Carol Stream, and Michael J. of Lombard; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, Nicholas, Marissa, and Anthony; his mother, Catherine, nee Pavlou; his twin-brother, James (Maureen) of Roseville, California; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pagonis is preceded in death by his father, Andrew J.
Mr. Pagonis was a Trustee at Community Presbyterian Church. He was a volunteer for PADS. Mr. Pagonis was a lifetime member of VFW Post #2801. He loved his grandchildren and family, and his dog, Buddy. Mr. Pagonis loved trains, clocks, and pocket watches. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping. He was a wonderful husband, father, and loving grandfather.

John was our dearest friend. With John’s passing,we feel a part of us has also died with him. Everything about him, especially his humor and wit, will be missed. Linda and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
