Maurice ‘Maury’ J. Vandenbroucke, age 89, of Lombard . died August 29 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 31, from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main, Lombard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, with prayers at Brust Funeral Home at 9:30AM to Christ the King Church for 10AM .
Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Vandenbroucke is survived by three sons, Ken (Suzette)of Westmont, David (Fran) of VA and Gary (Laura); of Morton Grove four daughters, Margie (Daniel) Poole of GA, Bonnie of Lombard, Debra of WI and Judy of Lisle; 7 grandchildren, Amy, Kim, Daniel, Christy, Emily, Antoinette and Benedict and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Vandenbroucke is preceded in death by his wife, Toni nee Dombrou and four brothers and sisters.

Mr. Vandenbroucke was a resident of Lombard since 1966. He was a Veteran of WWII and served in the U S Army and fought in the Pacific in 3 Campaigns in the Philippines. He received his C.P.A. in 1950. He started Comprehensive Accounting 1969 in Lombard and retired in 1989. The Company is still run by his family on St. Charles Road, Lombard. He joined the Lombard Rotary in 1975 and served as Treasurer for 9 years. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation.. He is a former member of the Lombard Chamber of Commerce and was one of the Founders of the D.L.U. (Downtown Lombard Unlimited).
