Margaret “Eileen” Hans, nee O’Hara, age 90, of Lombard, formerly of Oak Park and St. Angela’s Parish, died May 21 at home.

Visitation will be held Friday, 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday at St. Edmund’s Church, 188 S. Oak Park Ave. Oak Park at 9:30 A.M.

Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery.

Mrs. Hans is survived by 5 daughters, Mari, Peg (Steve) Diebold, Nancy (Steve) Turner, Barbara (Frank) Absher and Nora (Ned) Nevera; a son Ted; 9 grandchildren, Meghan, Chrissie and Kaitlin Diebold; Steven and Ted Turner; Rebecca, Teddy and Jenna Hans; Catherine Nevera; a brother, Jim (Helen Marie); sisters, Kaye (Jim) McCormack and Joan Bissing and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hans is preceded in death by her husband, Ted; a daughter, Anne Marie; a son, Norman; granddaughter, Hannah  Kaye Nevera; her parents, James & Theresa nee Downey; her sister, Anne (the late Roger) Leonard and  a brother, Jack (the late Betty)and her brother-in-law, John Bissing;

Eileen was a graduate of St. Angela Grammar School, Providence High School and Chicago’s Teacher’s College.  Eileen taught in the Chicago Public Schools, taught at St. Edmund’s in Oak Park and St. John of the Cross in Western Spring.  She retired from Glenbard West as an ESL Tutor.
