McCarthyJohn P. McCarthy, age 51, of Lombard, died suddenly. September 30 at Good Samaritan Hospital  E.R.

Visistation will be held Thursday, Oct. 3 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard.

Funeral services will be Friday Lying in- state from 10 AM until time of service 11AM  at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 350 E. Madison, Lombard

Interment is Private.

Mr. McCarthy is survived by his wife Cynthia M. nee Reiners ; two children, Zachary  and Brittany of Lombard; his mother, Nancy L. McCarthy; 3 sisters, Mary McCarthy of Berkeley, Margaret  (Michael) Walker of Chicago, Liz McCarthy of Warrenville; a brother, James R. Jr. of Grayslake,IL., 18 nieces and nephews; 11 great- nieces and nephews; his mother & father-in-law, Richard & Shirley Reiners of WI. 3 sister-in-laws, Debbie (Dietmar} Saegebrecht of Arlington Heights, IL., Cheryl (Brian) Johnson of N.Y., Mary (John) Addante of Addison and a brother-in-law, Richard Reiners of WI.

In lieu of flowers donations to his young children would be appreciated.

Mr. McCarthy resided in Lombard for 15 years. He grew up in Elmhurst. . He  graduated from York High School in 1980. He was Assistant Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop 202. He was a machinist at Chucking Machine Products, Franklin Park over 25 years.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter, Nascar fan and loved cigars. He was a good and caring husband, father, son and brother.
