JEANNE R. KARNATZ, nee Koeppen, age 86, longtime resident of Lombard, died July 23 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 26 from 3 to 9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 27 with Mrs. Karnatz Lying-In-State from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 215 South Lincoln, Lombard.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Mrs. Karnatz is survived by her husband, Arthur H.; her daughter Sue E. (Richard H.) Roellig of Lisle; three sons, Steven A. (Nancy) of Wauconda, Karl G. (Lee Ann) of Geneva, and Allen H. (Lynn) of Vermont; and eight (8) Grandchildren, Elizabeth (Rev. Michael) Manning of Texas, Derek Karnatz of Wauconda, Galen Karnatz of Vermont, Monica Karnatz of Wisconsin, Noah Karnatz of Vermont, Kevin Karnatz of Geneva, Sarah Karnatz of Geneva, and Taylor Karnatz of Wauconda.

Mrs. Karnatz is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Clark.

Mrs. Karnatz was born in Chicago and moved to Lombard in 1948. She was married for 62 years. Mrs. Karnatz loved travelling and Bridge. She was a member of the Lombard Women’s Club. Mrs. Karnatz worked with her husband from 1955 to 1987 at Karnatz Insurance Agency (now Nolan Insurance) in Lombard. They were the first tenant of the Lombard Temple Building on the NW corner of Main and Maple Streets.
