Susan Jean Jablonsky, age 61, of Middleton, WI, formerly of Villa Park, IL. Loving daughter of Anthony and the late Patricia nee Mason Jablonsky. Older sister of Mary and Warren (Colleen). Dear aunt of Jack, Claire and Tim Jablonsky. Mom to her best friend, Zoe. Susan graduated from Willowbook H.S. in 1966, B.S. from the University of Illinois, and M.S. from Illinois State University, both in Psychology. Susan worked for the state of Wisconsin for over 30 years in the Audit Bureau. For most of those years, she was responsible for the budgets for many important state social programs. Susan cared deeply for those in need. She worked hard to keep these programs viable especially during these difficult economic times. The outcome of Susan’s efforts provided much needed assistance for many people in Wisconsin. Susan lived in Germany for several years. This spurred her interest in foreign travel. She loved traveling though out Europe, and also visited Morocco, Egypt, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Also, she had fond memories of her trip to Alaska with close friends and celebrating the millennium at the Rose Bowl. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and dog at the family cottage on Lake Michigan. Susan enjoyed her time there cooking and baking for her family. Much to her frustration, Susan’s undying love for the Cubs never faltered. Go Cubs. Visitation Monday from 9 AM until time of funeral prayers 10:30 A.M at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton Ave., Villa Park, IL hence to St. Pius X Church for an 11 AM Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven. In lieu of Flowers, memorials in her memory to College of Veterinary Medicine, Attn: Advanced Office, 2001 S. Lincoln Ave., Urbana, IL 61802 or at http;//vetmed.illinois.edu/advancement/giving.html appreciated. Info Toll Free 888 629 0094.

  1. Dennis Rhodes says:

Sue will be deeply missed by many of those she worked with in Wisconsin. She was a wonderful colleague in the state budget office for many years.

How we knew Sue: a lover of many things including great hamburgers, good jokes, challenging puzzles, the 1985 Chicago Bears and of course her beloved dogs, most recently Zoe. She will be missed.

    With sympathy,

My sister and I grew up with Susan and we have wonderful memories of our time together!! Susan was fun, extraordinarily intelligent, and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed but remembered forever!

  3. Mark Johnson says:

What a sad day! I knew Sue through high school being im many classes with her. She was such a carrying person, fun to be with, smart, pretty, and always there as a friend. The class of 66 has indeed suffered a loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that God will comfort and sustain you. Psalms 34:18 says that He is near to those broken at heart and saves those crushed in spirit. Please keep His promises close to your heart. I offer my deepest sympathies to your entire family.
