ALLEN R. “Big Al” KOWALSKI, age 80, of Lombard, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 18th surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 23 from 2 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, for 10 AM Mass.

Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Mr. Kowalski is survived by four loving children, Debbie, Donna, Rich (Liz), and Rob (Tricia); his granddaughter, Kaylee; his sister, Vivian; two brother-in-laws, George and Vernon; his loving companion, Barbara; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Mr. Kowalski is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey, nee Slajaus; and two sisters, Rita Jasencak, and Bernie Christiansen.

Allen was born February 12, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Antoinette Kowalski.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War.  Mr. Kowalski worked at the First National Bank of Chicago until retirement.  He loved traveling, fishing, and gambling.
