Elaine Augusta (Mullan) Naccarato, age 96, of Lombard (formerly of Hinsdale and Berwyn) passed away on July 26, 2014, in the Health Care Center at Beacon Hill Retirement Center in Lombard, Illinois.

Elaine was born on January 25, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois and married Frank Naccarato (passed on Nov. 27, 1985) on December 24, 1942. She received her BA from Roosevelt University and MEd from Chicago Teachers College. She taught middle school for many years in Berwyn and later kindergarten at Jefferson School (Berwyn).

She was active in volunteer work: Cub Scout den leader for many years, a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school and Vacation Bible school leader at the 1st Baptist Church of Berwyn and a volunteer worker for many years at the local Hospital.

She enjoyed playing the piano, going to the Opera, painting with oils and was an active member of the DAR.

Elaine is survived by her 3 children; Teri-Ellen (David), Elise (John) and Owen (Tasha); her 4 grandchildren Jeremy (Lauren), Eric Kristina and Taylor; her 2 great-grandchildren; Abby and Zach; and her niece Joan (Eugene) Gazzola.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th from 4 to 8 pm.
