I can only remember the countless times my father and his friends (including Dave) would meet at Portillo’s every Friday night. Although I never knew Dave on a personal level, he was always very welcoming and would ask me how I was doing. Even on my last visit home to see my family I can remember speaking to him, and of course some Nascar talk before we ate our food. He will be greatly missed even by those who barley new him. RIP Dave Palmer.

Dave was a good friend of my dad, and was truly a great man. He has done countless nice things for us over the years, I remember back when I was in middle school I bent the rim on my bicycle and he took it and replaced the wheel for me, he wouldn’t take any money just wanted to help me out. We would all go out to dinner on Friday nights and talk, their was never a dull moment with Dave at the table! He will without a doubt be missed by everyone who knew him. RIP Dave Palmer

Knew Dave for only a few short years mostly on a business level. It appears my impression of him is the same as everyone else’s…he was extremely well liked and always willing to go the extra mile in your time of need. One less good soul on Earth but Heaven gains one instead…all of us here at Koala will deeply miss you…RIP David…

  11. Mrs. D. Ward says:

I am saddened to learn of the loss of your dear David. Please take solace in knowing
that Our Loving Heavenly Father has already made provision to awaken him from sleep, very soon. This is no mere fantasy. There are nine Bible documented cases of resurrections (Luke 7;11-17). The foremost of these was Jesus Himself. Jesus also spoke of a future resurrection on a global scale (John 5:28,29). This will be to a cleansed paradise earth where death, sickness and sorrow will be a thing of the past (Psalms 37:9-11,29, Rev.21:3-4). Soon all righteous mankind will welcome back our lost loved ones, then you can embrace your dear David once again. May this very real promise from Our Creator bring you a great measure of peace, and sooth all of your broken hearts. God always keeps His promises (Titus 1:2)! Again my heartfelt condolences. Mrs. D. Ward. For more comforting Christian information on how to cope with the death of a loved one, go to http://www.jw.org

I learned today that Dave passed, and I’m shocked by this news and I send my thoughts and prayers to the family.

I knew Dave for a few short years when I worked at the NASCAR store in Lombard when I was in high school. Dave was a great guy, funny, very helpful and always great to talk to. He would come in the store and talk about the NASCAR races from the past weekend, and he always as a joke, that he would stop watching cup races. Dave you will be missed. RIP
