American FlagWelker1RANDALL ‘RANDY’ WELKER, age 68, of Lombard, died December 30 at his home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 4 from 2 to 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 5 with prayers at 9:30 AM from Brust Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church, Lombard, for 10 AM Mass.

Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Mr. Welker is survived by his wife, MaryAnn, nee Hickey; his sons, Curt (Melissa) Welker, Charles (Kyoko) Childress, and Thomas (Jennifer) Childress; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; his mother, Viola Welker of Lombard; nine brothers and sisters, Dan (Pat) of Florida, David (Fran) of California, Ginny (Sam) Aharrah of Batavia, Kathy (the late Rudy) Woessner of Tennessee, Chuck (Rita) of Villa Park, Pam (Ron) Emrich of Wisconsin, Joe (Lori) of Elgin, Steve (Nannette) of Downers Grove, and Diane (Tim) Abner of Oswego; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Welker is preceded in death by his father, John E.

Mr. Welker was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.  He was a Member of the Lombard VFW.  He was a resident of Lombard for 21 years.  Mr. Welker had celebrated 37 years of marriage.  He was a retired Draftsman and had worked for Wagner Systems for 20 years.  He was a very handy craftsman.  Mr. Welker was a member of St. Pius X Church in Lombard.
