Shutock, LauraLaura Jean Shutock (nee Wyrembek), age 54, of Lombard, September 14, 1963 – November 8, 2017 was the beloved wife of Mark R. Shutock, loving step-mother of Mark S. Shutock and Matthew Shutock, loving step-mother-in-law of Katie Shutock, loving step-grandmother of Sofia Hope Shutock, loving aunt of Nichole (Kyle) Drilling, Sarah Gruneisen and Kevin Gruneisen III, Brinley Wyrembek and Merrick Wyrembek, sister of Lisa Gruneisen and David Wyrembek, sister-in-law of Kevin Gruneisen, Jr. and Sarah Wyrembek and beloved daughter of Leo and Shirley Wyrembek.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 10, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 11, with prayer service at 9:30 AM at Brust Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Christ the King Church, 1501 Main Street, Lombard, IL, at 10:00 AM.

Laura attended Hinsdale Central High School and graduated from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, class of 1986. She worked for IBM for 25 years until her retirement.

Despite Laura’s physical limitations from Rheumatoid Arthritis, she was a fighter and inspiration to all. Laura loved singing in the Christ the King choir, and enjoyed visiting the Morton Arboretum, especially in the fall after mass. She loved vacation trips to Door County, Wisconsin and reunions with her St. Norbert college classmates.

She was loved by her nieces, nephews, step-sons and stepdaughter-in-law. She loved taking part in Skype sessions with her step-son, step daughter-in law and step grand-daughter in Sicily. She enjoyed connecting with family, IBM coworkers and friends. She was an avid Facebook user and spent many hours exchanging news with friends and family. She liked to play electronic games, and got quite engaged in many a session!

Laura and her husband Mark met online and were married within one year. They were happily married for 14 years.

We will all miss you lovely wife, daughter, sister, step-mother, step-grandmother, aunt, coworker and friend. We know you are now a beautiful angel, dancing in Heaven.

    Laura was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. We worked together at IBM and I and everyone will truly miss her. I know she is in heaven.
