Beatrice L. Plass nee Ashdown, age 89, of Lombard, PLASS, Beatricepassed away November 16, 2017.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4 – 8 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday with prayers at 9:45 AM from Brust Funeral Home to Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St, Lombard, for 10:30 AM Mass. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.

Mrs. Plass is survived by her beloved children, William J. (Nancy) Plass of Arizona, Susan J. (Frank) Nelson of Minnesota, James M. (Patricia) of Dixon, IL, and Jeffery A. (Lori) of Leland, IL; her loving grandchildren, Donald (Denise) Nelson of Minnesota, Jennifer (Thomas) Hove of Arizona, Michael (Meagan) of Sugar Grove, Scott (Brittany) of Yorkville, Lisa (Maxwell) Hodgkins of Arizona, Michelle (Ryan) Mittman of Geneva, Brian of Wheaton and Noelle of Wheaton; her 10 great-grandchildren; her dear siblings, William (JoAnne) Ashdown of Downers Grove and Annette Goehl of Quincy, IL; many other relatives.

Mrs. Plass is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert B. and her brother-in-law, Russell Goehl.

Mrs. Plass grew up in Elmhurst. She was a 1946 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. Mrs. Plass then attended Roosevelt University in Chicago. She was a longtime resident of Lombard. Mrs. Plass and her husband owned Lombard True Value Hardware Store on Main Street from 1967-1997.  She  also worked at York High School in Elmhurst from 1974-1979. Mrs. Plass was a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Lombard, and was a current member of Christ the King Church.
