Written by Brust Funeral Home on April 29th, 2018

Tellalian-VioletViolet Tellalian nee Hagopian, 89 of Lombard passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018.  She was born on June 20, 1928 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  Beloved wife of the late Edward. Devoted mother of Dorothy (James) Lang, Martin and Nancy Tellalian (Robert) Schroder. Devoted grandmother of Jennifer (Brent), Jeffrey (Kate), Amanda (Stewart), Dan, Allison and Amy. Cherished great grandmother of Madison, Dylan, Hailey, Parker, Ellie, Brooks and Caroline. Dearest sister of George Hagopian of Pittsburgh, PA. Aunt and great aunt of many.   Violet was born and raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island by her late parents Deroohe nee Ohanian and George Hagopian Sr with her brothers Hagop, Avedis, and George and her sister Mary.

Violet met her future husband, Edward Tellalian, while visiting an aunt and other family members in Pittsburgh when she was 19.  They were married a year later on July 11, 1948.   She moved to Pittsburgh and lived with her in-laws during those early years while Eddie was in college.  Violet and Eddie had two children Dorothy and Martin while living in Pittsburgh and in November, 1954 moved to Oak Park, IL for 6 months and then moved to Forest Park, IL for 9 years.  Their third child Nancy was born while the family lived in Forest Park.   They moved to Lombard in 1964 and Violet spent the rest of her life in that home.   She enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle with her friends and working in the garden, especially with her roses.   She was known for her very friendly and gregarious personality and when she walked into a room full of people or at a store, everyone she engaged was her friend, entertained and better for spending time with her. No one ever left her home hungry.
