GallagherLois (Pelzer) Gallagher of Lombard, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. Born on December 31, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH. Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas, and brother, David Pelzer; children, Kathy Decicco (Frank), Karen Osika (Mike), Joe (Lisa), Patrick, Mike (Marilyn) and Therese Kuhlmann (Kevin). Proud grandmother of Frank, Diana, Jennifer, Nicholas, Drew, Jay, Eric, Joey, Zac, Patrick, Lana, Ryan, Nicole, Travis, Rachel, Leah and Thomas. Great grandmother of Ernesto, Antonio, Isabel, Gabi, Carmi and Caden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Wanda Pelzer; brother, Larry (Diane) and sister Donna. Lois was truly the matriarch of our loving family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, golfing and crossword puzzles. She also had a gift for sewing. Her endless creativity was evident in the costumes she could create in minutes and the many home projects she completed. Her cherished toolbox and sewing machine were never far from her side. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29th from 10am at Christ of King Church in Lombard (1501 S. Main St.). The funeral mass will begin at 11am followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ the King Catholic Parish in Lombard, IL or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

    Sending love and prayers to the entire family on such a big loss – but, it would be just like her to want to go ahead of everyone and make all of the tablecloths and settings perfect for when the rest of the family will join her in heaven at Jesus’ table for dinner…and, she’ll be smiling ear to ear to see everyone!
